Nerlens (Louisiana) Noel announcement

Yeah, and he would have almost nobody around him. Here, there are many other big bodies to practice against, and to spell you in the event of foul trouble. I can't believe how early he is making his announcement. To me, for him to even announce when he's announcing - BEFORE he has taken other visits - means to me that he's coming here. Holy crap, I can't believe I'm even saying this.

Really, nobody around him? I don't think you are going to win a battle of matchup the players us vs. them unless they wiff on both of their remaining 2012 targets.

Returning:

Kyle Wiltjer 6'9" Freshman - was a 2011 5 star recruit

They have 2012 commits from:

Alex Poythress a 6'8" 5 star PF (19th player overall according to rivals)
Willie Cauley 7'0" 4 star C (6th rated center)

and they are still in the hunt for:

Anthony Bennett 6'8" PF 5 Star (7th overall player)
Shabazz Muhammad 6'6" SF 5 Star (#1 overall player)

Thanks for this... Was wondering what they had but was too lazy to look. I like that they have a PF and C coming in, although not as good as NN.

Poythress is a 3. I watched him play this summer against Isaiah Austin. He was hands down the best player on the court and it wasn't even close. I think Poythress is better than Shabazz.

If its truly 50 50 than i think we have the inside track with mcw and playing in the northeast, i also think noel has a better relationship with hopkins than cal at the moment...noel loves hop

I love hop too... its like a love triangle. He brings us all the best players... HOPPPPPPP!

You are correct Poythress is a 3. Not that they have anyone that is going to keep Noel off the court, but the cupboard isn't likely to be bare either.

If they get noe and any other of the 2 mentioned they will be the same team as this year. If they whiff on Noel... top 10 with no chance at the FF. Cauley won't be near enough to anchor the center position for a real contender. I also think the '12 class is a downgrade from the '11 and '13 classes. IMO.

As much as hate them with the fire in my bowels, I honestly couldn't blame him one bit if he chose Kentucky.

I will love him if he comes to Syracuse. Will think indifferently if he goes elsewhere and will hate him down to my very core if he goes to Kentucky. Its like that, and it can't be helped.

Ok. But assuming Teague goes pro, who's gonna get him the ball?

he will not declare he know's he is not ready---he will go next year with waiters
I'm sure he already knows where he is going. I can only hope that it's Syracuse. Although 3 weeks scares me a bit becuase Fab will not have declared for the draft yet (although I am certain he will declare), and Anthony Davis is a foregone conclusion to the league.[/

Fab is in a different situation. He's older than 99.9% of other Sophomores, and he's the one guy that if he declares, and doesn't make it, would be more than happy to play in Brazil. I wouldn't bank on him being back.

how do you feel about ennis... I am a broken record.

Ennis is very good. We are in there pretty good on him. I haven't seen him play, but he is very, very high on our list.

thank you sir.

Even if Melo stays for another year, I think you could pencil in Noel to start at the 4 from day 1.

No. If Noel comes to SU, and Fab leaves. He starts at the 5. Coleman backs him up. Christmas starts at the 4, Keita backs him up.

noel talked about classifying back to 2012 because rehab went well.. was off a visit to UL , talked about the trip to SU.. its crazy at the dome, his second trip he said. no timeframe for choosing just when ever he finishes his visits.. 6-10 1/2 without shoes.. says he always has known how to play D and block shots.. likes D better than O. wanted to be Kevin Garnett growing up..

Brennan told him to make the decision for himself and not let others push him..

going to Kentucky on first trip there. a few more coaches he is talking with..

Su-Kent-Uconn- flor- UNC -Gtown for sure maybe more, uconn back in mix.

be comfortable with staff and develop as long as he is there. will stay as long as he needs to develop. trying to put on weight.

they are pushing to get him back in the MacD game.. movement to get him in..

king made a comment about wishing he could see Noel and melo playing zone together.

I cant see him coming here. Hes obviously a one and done player...therefore hes going to want to start his freshman year. If melo returns, I dont think he would start on this team or if he did start, he wouldnt see significant playing time. And theres no guarantee melo will leave until the conclusion of the season. It would be a risky move for Noel to commit here without knowing what Melo is going to do. I believe he plays it safe and choose Kentucky. Kentucky is a breeding ground for one and done players.
Oh Lord

If Fab and Noel play together I will laugh whenever someone drives the ball inside knowing they will get the blocked out of them.

I keep saying this Fab is as gone as hair after a Brazilian
