‘Cuse fans are just different. If a miracle happens and he commits here the whole Syracuse and lacrosse community will erupt. Just like it did when Chase transferred in.

In that interview with inside lacrosse they said his phone was blowing up with offers at midnight on Sept. 1st but I can only imagine what his phone will be like if he commits here. Interviews on top of interviews on top of tons of praise. When was the last time we landed a #1 recruit?

I dont' think he was the consensus #1 at the time but I do believe when IL came out with there top 100 players late in the summer he was ahead of Rambo which surprised a bunch of people. Your right though of course.

Don't want to read to much into it as Joey is clearly on a visit tour but him being here today is definitely a massive positive sign versus not visiting. Not the best weather day unfortunately but not much we can do about that. Hopefully we have pulled out some surprises despite the lack of "official contact".

Well he liked my comment so were halfway there. In all seriousness hopefully the visit is going/went well. Tough when your competing against the cream of the D1 crop in Maryland Duke UVA UNC and others. There does appear to be some prior history or at least him being a fan of SU to some extent based on what we know. I do like that this visit occured toward what looks like the last of his visits from his top schools. Hopefully Desko and co snuck in some words and put on the full press as best they could.

I would probably hope that they didn't do these things, because that's a recruiting violation and if word got out they could be in actual trouble. Other coaches very likely would find out and rat Cuse out to the NCAA.

I am sure most if not all of the schools he visited had some contact with him when he was on campus. Your not going to have the #1 recruit on campus for a visit and ignore him. I know what your saying but there's plenty of gray areas these schools find to get done what they have to.

For all we know, Joey could be the kind of person who doesn’t like people falling all over themselves to kiss his butt. Maybe he just wants to tour the campuses on his own and get a feel for things without being sold anything.

Shocking to be honest but Joey seems like a real smart kid and I think he sees the log jam of attackmen their already. He's an alpha attackmen, who you want leading your offense.

Let me clarify, I'm not saying he wouldn't start or anything at Duke but with O'Neil and the Canadian dude already there, you need some complimentary type attack guys, not another alpha.

Look no matter where he ends up the fact SU is in it here till the end is such a nice development after some of the struggles the last decade or so with the real elite guys. Joey has that bit of Powell flare in his play, really think he would excel here.
