This is why we don't let young kids make too many important life decisions. If we let them decide how to run a program they wouldn't practice that much, that hard, have sparkely helmets, not have to wear any pads, use rap lyrics to call plays, get to flirt with cheerleaders during the game, get to flip off opposing coaches, and deflate the dome for fun. Not a good way to have a successful program. Kids don't know very much.

You're insane if you thought that's what I was implying. No one was saying they should give control to the players in all those areas. Getting their opinion on uni's? All upside - current players feel listened to, recruits have some buy-in.
