nfl greatest 12 RB show

Elway was the top QB on the 90’s all decade team ahead of Favre. Marino didn’t make the all decade team in the 80’s or 90’s. I’m not sure he’s a shoe in.

Cannot believe I forgot about Bob Hayes. Also forgot Calvin Johnson.

My remembrance of Hayes was that he was a dynamic speed guy- once ran a 9.1 100 yard dash and of course the gold medal in 1964 in Tokyo - but was not an overall do it all type receiver. I'd be very surprised if he landed on that list.

Jerry Rice
Randy Moss
Raymond Berry
Lance Allworth
Don Maynard
Bob Hayes
Charlie Joiner
Steve Largent
Larry Fitzgerald
Marvin Harrison

Largent fits as a 70s guy as well as do a few years of Hayes production wise, if they want to drop Joiner for Carter or TO.

Calvin Johnson?

EDIT: Sorry Guinness - missed your mention of Megatron above.

I think Elway would be a lock.

I hope Elway makes it, as he was one of my favorite players and on my favorite team growing up.

Good point about Marino. I agree he’s not a lock.

Marino will be close but I'd bet he makes that list.

Don’t see him in this.

Elway, is a lock boys.

NFL accidentally leaked the WR group.
This is pretty bad IMO. Too many older guys.

its pretty clear that when it comes to baseball people know babe-ruth willie mays lou gehrig types belong on any all time list but when it comes to football no one really knows anyone besides Jim Brown that played pre super bowl.

Elroy Hirsch was awesome in his time

surprising list.

but solid.

get ready for more QBs than we would like from that era too.

i get Crazy Legs Hirsch was good, but the DBs were all bruisers back then.

Warfield? ehh...

no need for TO and Calvin Johnson, but i wouldve thought more AFL guys.

got 7-10

There's no way all of Manning/Brady/Rodgers/Brees/Marino/Elway/Favre make it.

I think Elway is a better QB than Joe Montana.
Sammy Baugh interesting name but if he makes it this list its just Belichick/Madden history trip to the past.

Warren Moon was probably a better QB than him but he isn’t even mentioned.

I think Starr is very overrated from the old games I have seen him play.
I Leaned added Staubach to giving the 1970s another QB.

I just think Brees, Brady, Manning are locks.
Norm Snead

Tomlinson was on another planet of talent.

WHAT? He's 48 games under .500 for his career. Bobby Layne or Norm Van Brocklin I could see.
you just dove in front of that bus all by yourself.

And Favre does? Boy I'd take all of them over him.
i think the All Decade team stuff puts the others over.

splitting hairs there...

if you just take the QBs that did the best in the SB era you end up with roger. bradshaw, starr, brady, manning, montana thats 6

then you get Brees , elway, kelly, warner, moon tarkenton

marino/favre a bit down further

but they have to take Van Brocklin, Dawson, Sid Luckman, Baugh, otto graham, unitas thats 6 too

Favre is in trouble IMO.

Brady, Peyton, Marino, Elway, Montana are locks

Find 5 more.

Wait Ladainian Tomlinson was not on the list?
Neither Marshall Faulk or Tomlinson were part of the RBs.
I would take both of them over Earl Campbell but the older voters prevailed.

Hell I would have taken Adrian Peterson over Campbell.

Brady, P. Manning, Marino, Elway, Montana, Otto Graham, Johnny Unitas,
I go Roger Staubach and Drew Brees 8th, 9th.
No idea who number 10. There are a lot of options.
