This change had been in the works for some time, and it's likely teams fully anticipated it. The NFL will require teams to cut 90-man rosters to 75 after the third preseason game, and down to the usual 53 before Week 1. The change to 90-man rosters becomes effective at 4PM ET on Tuesday.
