The dislike for Eli - an extremely low key guy who since getting drafted hasn’t said or done anything remotely controversial is weird to me.

If you’re a Cowboys, Eagles, or Redskins fan - I’m not talking to you because unconditional NFC East hate is what it is. Pats fans...I get it, after what he did to you. Twice.

Everyone else...I’m reading your Eli posts and then looking at you like the whole courtroom was looking at Chuck McGill after his rant in Better Call Saul.

I'm an Iggles fan--never hated Eli. After all, thanks to David Tyree, he beat the Pats.

And, he's not that good, so I'm not jealous. And he's not overhyped.

Now, Peyton...that's another story. Can't stand 'im.

Is there anyone who doesn't fit this description dumping on She-li?

I'm a Jerry Jones hating Dallas fan with many good friends that are Jint fans. It's our fun way of talkin smack to each other so I'm always game for taking shots at Goober Manning in response to a Jint fan singing his praises.

Yes. Every non Giants NFL fan that I know hates Eli, lol.

I’m so glad Archie told u that, he and Eli can finally stop lying to everyone that both wanted New York.
Archie wasn't a moron he saw the teams looking for a QB SD, NYG, Pitt and he saw the Giants are a good organization thus he and Eli wanted him in NY.

If any stable NFC team was high in that draft it was appealing to them.
Archie didn’t want Eli in the AFC where Peyton was.
When Peyton left Indy he could have gone to a good spot in SF but he went to Denver he picked the best spot which included being an AFC team.

Eli who had no leverage like Elway did with baseball forced his way off where the team with number 1 pick wanted him at.
Eli should be disliked for that. You go where you drafted and shut up.
San Diego wasn’t Vancouver or some no name place. He had no reason to not play there. His dad didn’t want him in the AFC.

The Chargers were good the same time the Giants were. In fact they made the AFC title game 2 years in a row and where contenders a lot of years.

They just had inferior coaching in Schottenheimer and Norv Turner.

Apparantly he did have leverage if it worked? If the Chargers made out so well, their fans have no reason to be mad?

8-8

4-12...2003

That’s a pretty stable franchise if you ask me.

Not sure I’d want to add to that stability when i could force my way to the Giants.

Give me a break. Look at Indy before Peyton.
They were a garbage franchise and he went there and turned them around.
Indy was worse than San Diego.
Irsay is the craziest owner in the league he got busted on a car stop with enough drugs to fill a pharmacy and got a slap on the wrist.
SD was not a dumpster fire. Archie didn’t want Eli in the AFC. If SD was in the NFC he goes there.

Eli had no leverage. SD blinked because they were able to get enough the fight wasn’t worth it.

If AJ Smith stuck by his guns Eli doesn’t sit out an entire season. Again Philip Rivers and Ben Rothlisberger being available is why the trade happened.
The Giants were going to take Rothlisberger if the trade didn’t happen in like 15 minutes.

That’s right, bitches!!!
He is in the Hall of Fame of nice guys.
Not as a QB though.

If he is a HOF QB they should let everyone from this era in. I mean you can cherry pick stats to make a case but if the Hall of Fame is about the best of the best Eli was never better than just a top 10 QB for multiple seasons.

Donnie Baseball was the best player in the game for 6 years.

Biggie was average and compiled for 20.

1s in the HOF the other has no shot.

Eli has stats, Bling...and is not done with either.

HOF

HOF
Biggio won 5 silver sluggers at his position, he won 4 straight gold gloves.
He was an average player at the end of his career but he was the best 2b of the NL for 1990s.

I think Alomar was better than them from the AL but he wasn’t a bum.

Mattingly is a guy who should have gotten more consideration but baseball again is how the HOF should be it’s very selective.

Eli is not a HOFer. He was never the close to the best at his position. He is the Phil Simms of this era. Good player but not the elite of his Era.

It's early, but the Pats have had some key injuries--and one key suspension. If the AFC East didn't suck, they just might be vulnerable this year.

If Phil didn’t miss 12 games because of the strikes, he’s in too.

His stats are crazy for a guy who handed off all game long.

His stats are reflective of consistent mediocrity within an ERA offense has exploded.
The guy’s best quality has been staying healthy thus he compiles average numbers.
Eli has the 5th most losses of alltime to go with all those stats.

That stat about being 7-1 in his last 7 underdog playoff games is really incredible.
If he got to the playoffs more often it maybe those 7 wins are from 2 postseasons. The guy has only made the playoffs 1 time in the last 6 seasons he has started. Joe Flacco has done it as well. He is 9-2 as a underdog QB. I mean Nick Foles just had 3 wins as an underdog last year.

Again Eli isn’t a bum but he has never been at the top of his position in the league or close to it.
If HOFs are suppose to be the best of the best he isn’t in that league.

This Era of football where the QBs can’t be touched has made it possible for QBs to play longer and compile stats.
All Pros tell us who the best of the best are.
