Look out for Minnesota if their OL can protect Bradford like they are doing tonight. That OL was the worst in football last year but looks to have been upgraded. Bradford has had nothing but horrible OL's his entire career. Give him time and a back like Dalvin Cook and that team has a shot at hosting the SB.

The Vikings are the Jets of the NFC.

They are secondary to the Packers in there own division like the Patriots.

They have a good defense but won't score enough to win multiple playoff games.
Their skill position WRs are mediocre. Cook has potential but is a rookie. Rudolph is a solid TE.

They could win 9-10 games but they aren't in the league of Packers/Seahawks/Falcons/Cowboys .

Both of those are very fair points. But he's had a lot of mediocrity in between the success. Without checking I'd say he probably has more turnovers than any other QB of his generation.

Just as an aside, Donovan McNabb's teams probably won as many playoff games, won a higher percentage of their games (btw Eli is 30 wins out of his last 66) and McNabb turned the ball over a lot less than Eli. And if we want to talk about talent around him then Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mithcell and James Thrash please take a bow. Yikes!! But McNabb never won a SB so he's unlikely to get in. Maybe they should have a special wing in Canton for Mark Rypien, Doug Williams, Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer.
McNabb playoff record = 9-7
E. Manning playoff record = 8-4

McNabb had about 100 fewer INT's than Eli (1 less season, though), but also about 90 fewer TD's than Eli.

You're completely devaluing the importance of an offensive line. Last year the Vikes lost 6-7 offensive linemen and were playing with guys that have since retired. Much better OL now plus Dalvin Cook and Latavius Murray and the best defense in their division. . I'd take Minnesota over Green Bay straight up if you're interested.

Thanks for looking that up. Yeah I don't see a lot of difference in their productivity but Manning has two SBs. One other thing in Manning's favor is his durability. Can't take that away from him.

Another way to look at it is that Manning averaged 1.6 passing TDs per game while McNabb averaged 1.4 TD per game yet McNabb threw .7 picks per game and Manning was at nearly 1.2 picks per game. On the other hand McNabb rushed for 3500 yards and had 29 rushing TDs versus 500 yards and five TDs for Manning. Overall from that basis McNabb was slightly more productive.

Bradford sucks and so does the Saints D. Let's see how he does against the Steelers.

Steelers? lol they had all they could do to beat a Cleveland QB making his NFL debut.

Don't sleep on Diggs, he's way above mediocre.

One of the fantasy pundits I read felt Diggs was poised for a breakout season, so I took him the the syrfan draft. Tonight in the 4th Q he's 7 Rec, 93 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TD, 24.2 fan. pts. :)

In the same regard, McNabb usually had better defenses than Eli. He might not have been behind in the game as much as Don.

Bradford threw for 71% last year, new NFL record. And now he has Cook, who looks like the real thing. Minnie is a lot tougher this year.

Too inconsistent.
Kid has talent but fell to the 5th round for a reason.

He plays well in primetime. He had stud game last year on SNF against Green Bay.

Minnesota has a good D but they aren't a SB team IMO.

For the most part that is probably true. Speaking of which if Brian Dawkins isn't in the HOF next year then that's a joke. But for a major portion of his career Chad Lewis was McNabb's main go-to-guy. His receivers were awful except for the brief time he had TO.

They don't call him "Check Down Sam" for nothing.

two Super Bowl MVP's ends the debate between Donnie and Eli.

We'll see.

Steelers home opener so they should win that game. But it's pretty obvious that the Vikings offense is sharply improved from last year.

Necessary to check down when you play behind horrible OLs. That sure as hell wasn't the case this evening.

I didn't say McNabb was HOF worthy. Just pointed out that his career stats were slightly better than Manning's.

Where do you rank Sam Bradford in NFL QB hierarchy?

I think he is in the late teens at best probably high 20s.

The only thing that's obvious is the Saints D still sucks. We won't know anything about the Vikes O until they do it against a real defense.

I think you're looking in the rear view mirror. This team has plenty of talent.

Not a Gruden fan but he knows QBs. He made the point I've been telling you - Bradford has had the misfortune of playing behind awful OLs plus he's had two brutal knee injuries. Gruden said when he has time he's probably the most accurate passer in the NFL. No offense but people who say he sucks or in the high 20s have no idea what they're talking about.
