Both of those are very fair points. But he's had a lot of mediocrity in between the success. Without checking I'd say he probably has more turnovers than any other QB of his generation.

Just as an aside, Donovan McNabb's teams probably won as many playoff games, won a higher percentage of their games (btw Eli is 30 wins out of his last 66) and McNabb turned the ball over a lot less than Eli. And if we want to talk about talent around him then Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mithcell and James Thrash please take a bow. Yikes!! But McNabb never won a SB so he's unlikely to get in. Maybe they should have a special wing in Canton for Mark Rypien, Doug Williams, Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer.

The only thing that's obvious is the Saints D still sucks. We won't know anything about the Vikes O until they do it against a real defense.

I agree that NO defense sucks but it doesn't take a phd in football to notice much improved talent for Minn on the offensive side of the ball. Btw it took Brees 58 minutes to find the end zone mainly cause Minn was in the prevent. How often has that happened?

Btw Manning has the same amount of picks in 30 less games. Brees has been picked on 2.5% of his throws while Manning is at 3.1%. Eli is the interception king.

He has a first team all-pro season.
Finished 2nd for an MVP twice.
Won offensive player of the year in 2011.

Has a SB MVP.
He is way better than Eli.

Eli's regular seasons are so freaking mediocre for a HOF is laughable.

Eli has never made an all pro team.

Less INTs (barely) because he played two seasons less than Brees. I didn't even mention that Manning has lost nearly 100 fumbles in his career as well. That's over 300 turnovers.

You gotta admit to some extent Eli has been living on past glory. Last five years he has been incredibly average and some times below average. Tbh I see more of the same coming up this year. NYG defense will have to carry the day just like they did last year.
