Look, we both know this bet could be over as soon as 4pm Sunday.

Let's see if they make it interesting then we can 'make it interesting.'

For the record...Giants win this week.
If the Giants don't beat the Chargers they will get a top 5 pick.

The Chargers are quitting.

If the Jets beat Browns they will be out of the Darnold sweepstakes.

Jets could be 3-2 after this weekend.

If you believe Mike Lombardi and Greg Gabriel, Darnold isn't going to be in the draft anyways; not to mention the idea of him sliding out of the #1 spot appears to be gaining a lot of traction right now.

It really is crazy that the Jets have managed to be in position to be 3-2 though haha.

They'll get Darnold in 2019

Unless it Cleveland Darnold will leave.

Staying in school is always a bluff. Also Darnold will be the first pick if he comes out.

Rosen and Allen aren't as good.

I'd tend to agree with all of this as well. I really don't like Rosen very much at all to be honest.

On the flipside though, Darnold has been pretty bad/borderline terrible most of the games he's played this year. I still like him a lot, but it's definitely concerning how much he's struggled this season.

Really, all of the top QBs have struggled to varying extents. Of the consensus top 4 prospects (Darnold, Rosen, Allen, and Lamar), Lamar's probably been the best this season.

The Jets have a OC who can actually think, for a change.

So who has been the top 5 teams in the NFL so far this season in your opinion? Not who you think will be the top 5 by the end of the year, but who's actually been the best through 4 weeks? I think I'd go with:

1. Kansas City Chiefs
2. Buffalo Bills
3. Detroit Lions
4. LA Rams
5. Denver Broncos

Too much is being made of Atlanta's fortunate endgame in Chicago/Detroit. They are -6 in turnovers with a defensive TD against [stuff that is basically random but has a huge impact on outcomes] in their last two games that went to the wire. In other words they are clearly very good again. And I was in the camp that thought they'd regress a lot this year.

Granted that, for example, the fumble touchdown that Buffalo had this week was questionable at best, but being a turnover prone team isn't necessarily random. I don't think people are really downplaying Atlanta all that much though; seems like everyone considers them to still be a very good team.

Easiest bet this week Tampa-New England over the O/U 56.

Both of these teams have chitty defenses.

This will be a shootout.

We’ll see.

This will be one of those games where it should be a shootout and ends up inexplicably being a 21-10 win for the Pats lol.

Your assessment of their offenses and defenses is correct. But how many times have we seen games like this turn out to be field goal competitions?
Not with Brady and Belichick.
Plus New England D needs a bye week to fix itself unless Jameis throws picks it will be a shootout.

I got my popcorn ready. Feels like "on to Cincinnati" week with hopefully a different result. It'd be nice to compete in a normal division for once w/out a team that wins 13 games rolling out of bed.

Pats are still going to win games.
I mean this past week they lost at the last second.

Their problem is the secondary isn't on the same page they will eventually clean that up. It's just not going to happen on a short week.

They have talent in the secondary.

Also they are going to make trade(s) Belichick does every year.

The Pats this year remind me of every Saints team since 2014.

Lost at the last second but they needed a 4th down to keep the game alive early 4th Qtr down 14. And if Bill O'brien wasn't a moron they'd be 0-3 at home.
What does "win games" mean? I don't think they're going 7-9 but if they can lose 6 instead of the usual 2-4 that's interesting. Generally @Tampa is the type of game that separates 10 and 12 win teams so i got fingers crossed.

Pats have talent on D.

Butler has been garbage thus far.
Hightower has only played 2 games.
DL is solid.

Right now their secondary is confused in what coverage to play.
The weakness is their LB core.

Pats are going to get players.
My guess they will trade a mid round pick for Elvis Dumerall in San Francisco and they will see if Joe Thomas in Cleveland could be had.

It was a 4th and 2 on the opponent 40 Belichick goes for that no matter the time of the game.

Also Orangeman won't believe this but the refs made a lot of bad calls against the Patriots which killed them.

10-6 is their floor.
The D will improve especially in the secondary.

The Gilmore signing isn't looking to good right now either. He was horrible Sunday blowing assignments and his penalty cost you guys a chance to get the ball back.

Yeah he is the one killing them.

I think they will clean it up after this Tampa game. They will have a mini bye.
