classes it's pretty hard to win the whole thing. Imagine if we had 8 straight years of #1 classes and 8 straight years of preseason top 5 and only had one title. One could argue you need to do much more with all that talent.

Cuse!

Somebody would have assassinated Boeheim after about 4 years with only one title.

1 NC
2 NC game appearances
4 Final Fours
2 Elite Eights
1 Second round loss
1 NIT

I think that fanbase can deal with it. I am more made at the NBA rule forcing kids to school for 1 year than I am mad at Calipari exploiting the system.

It's a good thing for them Fab Melo was declared ineligible or UK wouldn't have any titles.

I don't think we have but I'm not sure, I just can't remember it being said that we had the best class.

According to the Chicago Tribune SU was #2 in '86 behind UNC and #3 in '87 behind UK and UNLV. According to ESPN SU was #5 in '02 behind Duke, UNC, Nova, and Mich St.

So now I'm pretty positive SU has never been #1.

The Dynasty class was up there too, wasn't it?

and 27 NBA players in 8 years and that includes a boatload of true superstars. Should have more than one title with all those stars.

Now don't get me wrong. I would change places in one second to have that kind of talent on a yearly basis.

I agree, for the money they spend, they should expect championships.

I rooted for Kentucky. UNC to me represents everything that is wrong about college hoops. Play holier than thou, act superior in every way, yet create the most prolific cheating environment in modern sports, and never get called on it and never fell the impact of it. Cal jobs the system, UNC jobs the public.

One certainly could argue that, and one could also argue that there aren't many coaches better than JB at making a LOT out of the talent he has. Not saying he's PERFECT by any means, but anyone who cares enough to look at it objectively must agree, he's wrung a great deal out of MOST of his kids, and his teams.

Rock on, 'Cuse!!!

He still done better by quite a good margin than any other coach in college :noidea:

As exceptional as UK's freshman have been, bottom line is that they're still freshman and at 18-19 years old they are far from physically mature. Just look at Fox and Monk for example, their bodies need to get much stronger, etc. I think it's a factor as to being really good, but just not strong/good enough...just my opinion.
