NIL struggles

The team has a lot of celebrity fans 35 and over who grew up in the tri-state area and followed the team during its heyday. I think that we can get them to the Dome if we get back to relevancy. We used to be New York's team and took over the Garden when we played St. John's and during the Big East Tournament. I understand why we went to the ACC but that was the start of our downfall. I'm reminiscing and rambling out of context to the topic. Therapy.
Truth is you are not wrong when it comes to what is best for hoops. We know why JAB was against it. Without the ACC we would probably be UCONN in football. Look at their schedule, how many games would you go to. Could SU afford the their athletic dept bleeds.

I believe that was more than a year before he left. Who got the $1MM?
it wasn't over a year. It was all in the process. He brought Elijah Moore here with his favorite rapper. Are you saying that you think he wasn't good for it? lol

He said he was going to bring in a 5 star in for football and basketball. So yes. Lol

Are we 100% sure that’s true? That appears to be coming from AW only. I’m a firm believer there’s always 3 sides of a story. The two participants in the conflict and the truth.
He is the only one who has helped the women's team keeping Fair here for her senior year, that was from Fair herself.
Now the women are having a hard time lost their freshman star from last year to Tennessee because of money.

I love the fact that some here want to pile on Adam, when he is one guy who could help move the needle on moving the program in the right direction. He is no savior, but could certainly help. What's the point?? It's his damn money. Sheesh.
I'm excited to think of our NIL with $1MM from Adam and Melo and Co. contribution, plus our existing NIL. We could build a lineup really quickly. I'm still not sold on the coaching, but talent could be improved BIG TIME

In my opinion, Melo wants what's best for Kiyan. He wants Kiyan to experience the love he felt during his one year here and the 30,000+ rocking the dome. We are looking 6000 to 8000 actual butts in the seats (despite them publishing numbers of tickets sold), significant portion of fans have checked out and not showing even with prepaid tickets. What do you think will be the projected tickets sold next year and actual physical attendance? How will that experience be like for Kiyan?

Celebrities are fine when you have a packed house, cheering and doing synchronized jumps and waves. But if you are only 25% capacity and down 20 points it gets embarrassing for Melo and Lala to be bringing high profile friends to the dome, and that's assuming Kiyan will be the main feature of the team during these celebrity attendance, and how much additional pressure will that be felt by Red. I am skeptical that any of this will translate to more wins.

real genius GIF

Kent needs to be thrown a popcorn party if he screws this up.

How would anyone be sure. I believe what Adam said

Brady and Fallon aren't flying to Syracuse for less than 250K. When he had the Antetokounmpo bros during their season, it was probably even more. There isn't anything exclusive or interesting about it; they have an appearance fee, and he was willing to pay it. Do you think that is the best use of that money?

I don't know any details on his charitable giving, but if he was interested in meaningfully improving the program, it would be more like what Lally, Ensley, Miron, Carmelo, or tons of other donors who haven't put their names on things have done.

I get a kick out of all the people on this site that think they know how to spend someone else’s money better than they do.
