Not buying this 48 hour turnaround

Duke played on the same 48-hour turnaround on the Monday we upset them. VT last played Monday, 5 days in between. We also traveled on the off day to Blacksburg. VT had the fresh legs, we were sluggish moving in the zone because we were so heavy-legged.

You realize that unlike the Duke game one team had a week to prepare and another had a travel day.
Its bball guys play 3 aau games in a day. If we had a week off the excuse would be we had too much time off and we were rusty.

You're comparing AAU high school ball to the ACC?
You could see how well schooled VT was yesterday moving that ball around. And good for them but Buzz had a full week to get ready for us. We literally had a couple of hours.
I'm still disappointed that we didn't execute high post back door, blowbye's etc, but there's something to the time difference.

And the kids on the other teams are also playing 3 games a day.
It's all about an even playing field. Based upon JB's comment, coaches had been assured that this would not happen.

TV dollars trump all assurances by ACC officials.
That could have happened if we had a week off. Buzz knows our zone well.
Brain, what was duke's turnaround time? Or did you forget about that. Duke had the same amount of time for prep. Va tech had 4 days.
Once again Brain, Buzz knows our zone so well he lost like 8 of the last 9
He has a top 10 team this year. He's a great good coach with a lot of talent.
Duke didn't play all that poorly we played a great game and hit shots.

And historically he's lost to it (I know it feels otherwise).
They looked well coached and well schooled last night. Good for them for doing the right thing. Part of what we do is jumping people on short turnarounds, that didn't play to our favor last night.
He prob has his best team we didn't lose because we had a short turnaround.

Flip the script, give him a Thu night game then a flight to Syracuse while we idle for a week.
Still think they beat us. They are really good.

No doubt, good team, good coach, who has spent a decade thinking about us. And extra time to prep for us while we are looking at Larranaga's team.

Once again, they are so good they lost by 20 to UNC and UVA. They also lost to Penn freakin State. They aren't all that good.
It happens our 03 team lost to rutgirls.
Oh my God. Just stop. how many 20 pt losses did the '03 team have?
I'm not saying they will win it all. Good teams lose to bad teams.
The UCONN team was better than us. And Pitt was a terrific team. that Rutgers team was sandwiched around two NIT teams. Sadly it was the golden age of Rutgers basketball and the Rac was a tough place to play. Don't compare the two. This great va tech team got blasted by two teams in the league. They aren't that good. And for you to say that the turnaround didn't have an effect is just plain dumb. The team didn't get much of a chance to game plan for those guys. or rest. Va Tech on the other hand, was plenty rested after getting smoked by UNC on Monday. And they were at home. They played a great game. They had the advantages and they ran with them. But typical of you, you only see and remember what you see last. va tech has a good team and they are well coached. But both have been way blown out of proportions. That '03 Syracuse team was very young. Three frosh, three sophs, 1 jr and 1 sr. They can be excused for getting beat early in the year. Meanwhile, Va tech isn't so young. 3 of their top 5 scorers are sr's. Another is a jr. To compare that with our '03 team misses the mark
