Not sure it’s happening with any coaching staff. The program isn’t the draw it once was. Kids today have no idea we used to be a dominant team. It’s one reason why we’re not attracting the best talent (since the heralded Spallina class). We’ll remain competitive, but expecting championships is a reach.

I've got to assume you went to SU. Maybe it was awhile ago. I can assure you that we haven't gotten close to spring yet in upstate new york and schools are using grass fields sparingly if at all. At this point, they'd be more of an injury risk for the team than something that actually helps them prepare for a game. And regardless, the grass is completely different up here than it is in the Carolinas.

I can only speak for Section 2, but pretty much all of the high level schools/programs are playing on turf right now. Ballston Spa and Averill Park are the only two high schools I...

The top teams princeton , unc , ND n we have lost to all 3 by multiple goals. We just don’t play sound enough while struggling at X to beat these teams. Can’t have 14 turnovers 6 of which on just making a pass without even pressure. Also losing groundball battle. This team just doesn’t have the fire or urgency or seem like they want it as bad as they say they do. Just way to much jogging n half arse ing out there. To beat these teams n win have to play great lacrosse. Have to hustle n make plays while also winning the little plays. This team has no fire inside them. I put that on seniors as their suppose to lead but are ones making these mistakes n setting bad examples.

Also need depth of scoring. 4-5 guys scoring isn’t gonna get it done. Need your attack n 1-2mid lines to produce. Man this team is so frustrating to watch. They drive me absolutely bonkers. If they can’t beat unc or Nd there is zero chance they make it to final 4. I don’t think ND is that great on O yet me made them look it. They have solid D who first half we picked apart. But then comes sloppy plays n turnovers. This team needs a hard hard look at themslves. Someone needs to ripp them a new one n tell them it’s either play big fast smart now. Or go home.

Disagree that scuffle late will give these guys the kick in the ass they need. A rematch with ND is exactly what you want.

ND is the better team. I’ll be surprised if we can beat them. They completely dominated us in the second half. We’d be in better shape if we could play the tourney in the Dome.
