The walk-on Hill can fly. I'm impressed.

Drummond's a monster
I love the slo-mo and sound effects. That awesome
Great freaking news. We need our seniors in the secondary to step up LARGE to stabilize an inexperienced unit (Morgan).
Im still confused why the TEs aren't more involved, but maybe its part of the vanilla things.
- I also have to think that theres a strong correlation between being able to throw a tight spiral and accuracy. Hunt just cannot throw a tight spiral and has to almost muscle the ball in on slants and inside routes - It really hurts because he's trying to throw the ball too hard to get in windows and as a result is in accurate.
I know theres QBs with unorthodox style, but after 4 years he should be able to produce a tight spiral and accurate passes. This is the ting that scares me the most.
Overall, looks like Fanfest was a success
Great event, saw Coyle around a ton talking to fans at the BBQ tent. Sat 2 rows behind me in the stands, had a short conversation with AJ's father. Was a super nice guy. Kirkland was in the stands in the row right in front of us.
Was really impressed with Fredericks at RB. I remember watching his HS highlight video thinking that he had more speed than we saw in the video and I was right. In his HS video he ran just fast enough to get in front of the DB's and cruised to the end zone. Tonight he turned on the jets, wow.
Devante and Morris also looked pretty good. Erv looks like he is faster and less hesitant than last year.
T. Hunt looked pretty good, made good decisions. Threw some good passes.
OL also looked pretty good.
Shy looks like a senior already, he is going to do great things. Same thing with Jonathan Thomas.
I am encouraged by what I saw today.
EDIT: Ensley Center is top notch, pictures simply don't do it justice. Very impressive facility.
Lot of people there, more than any fan fest I have been to up to this point. It felt like an event to be at and was very well done including the BBQ. Spread was nice, line went fast, very cool.
They put on a great event. Shocking what moving this from a weeknight to a weekend can do.
Coyle is an easy person to talk to. Says that season ticket holders are the backbone of the program.
You're right about the Ensley Center. It's HUGE. Money well spent.
I got to meet Dan Bartlett today as well as new poster CuseGoose, and the usual Fine Mess crowd was in attendance.
20 days...
This is the most encouraging thing from that write-up:
Syracuse worked from the red zone later in the scrimmage and converted several series for touchdowns.
That's a good thing because honestly when I left it was 0-0. I thought I stayed close to the end, and for the life of me I don't know where Hunt's 3 TD's came from? All I saw was more of the same...missed open receivers.
A few observations:
The lobby at Manley was very nice. I can see why all the recruits come away impressed with our facilities. The lobby with all the different interactive stuff makes a very nice first impression.
- Hopefully they dress up the IPF a little bit. Huge facility, and i'm sure they will get around to it.
- Both defenses looked great (1st and 2nd team). The guys on the DL are massive. This is probably the first class that we brought in where you can look at them and say these are grown men, who look like they play for a P5 program. That goes for RS Fr as well. Just absolutely massive, and can move. Both lines dominated both 1st and 2nd team OL. Daivon Ellison stood out to me on a few occasions, especially when he got right up and jammed Custis so hard he didn't get a foot of the LoS. Again, I see where it said Hunt had 3 TD's, I didn't see them?
- Which brings to the offense. I get that it was a exhibition and we weren't showing anything, well that's a good thing because there was absolutely nothing to see offensively. Ishmael is an absolute 1st team All ACC stud WR, and Jordan Frederick looked good, but the rest was a whole bunch of ehhh. The OL had trouble moving our 2nd string DL full of Fr. Hunt made some throws, but also missed a few easy throws he needs to make. Dungey looked smooth when he got out there. He is probably the best QB on the roster right now. Didn't have nearly as many reps, but he just looked a lot more comfortable passing then some of the older guys.

I thought the OL played well, there was 4 rushing touchdowns remember and I didn't see any of them driven off the ball.
The scrimmage went until about 7:55 or thereabouts. If you missed Hunt's TD's then you missed about half the scrimmage.
I'm telling you that Dungey is a cool customer. Not one who should be starting at this point - but a cool customer. That's a good thing because honestly when I left it was 0-0.
