Oshae Staying in the 2019 NBA Draft

I could see someone taking him in the 2nd round but until he develops a three point shot or becomes a defensive specialist then he is going to have a very difficult time making a roster.

Go OB hope he gets a solid offer.

He's got some skills. He just has to buy into what he's truly good at. He has to stop trying to be someone else as a player.

At his height and size what he’s good at most likely won’t translate to the nba

I remember when the Knicks were infatuated with Renaldo Balkman's huge hands. That didn't play out too well...
Balkman was like pick #20 and was a decent reserve in the NBA for I think 6 years. What didn't play out well there?

He's a very good rebounder, and could be terrific if he dedicated himself to that more. They don't need rebounding in professional basketball? He could be a small-ball 4. He has the athleticism. He just has to play a lot stronger around the rim.

Having the ability to make the 3 will make him more likely to stick as a pro somewhere, but if he doesn't focus on his rebounding and finishing through contact, then how many threes he can make won't matter. I don't think he's got NBA talent, but even if he wants to play in Spain, Italy or Greece, he's got to focus on the rebounding, and on being stronger around the rim.

Another 20 pounds would help. 6’8” and only 205 pounds won’t get it done. He’s not Steph Curry.

Well...when the "Orangemen forever" voluntarily leave the program 2 years early with little hope of real professional success it tends to leave fans disappointed over what could have been. And the shorter period on the hill the sooner they are forgotten unless they did something special like Melo. I bet Tyler Lydon's fans have been just thrilled with his play the past 2 seasons.
I’m happy for Tyler. He got hurt year 1 but fought his way back. He’s already made a few million dollars and he was a big part of us getting to the final 4.

Just imo but I don’t see him returning. I think he’s probably done enough to peak someone’s interest in the 2nd round and is gone. Wish him the best. Would love to have him back next year.

Hard to believe Kawhi Leonard was a terrible 3 point shooter in college. 21 and 29% in his two years of college. Now he’s one of the best players in the world and a very good 3 point shooter.

Not saying Brissett will do the same, just saying you never truly know how these guys will pan out.
