but i think doug "baloney" marroney will be back on the job market really soon

You think they are going to fire him mid preseason do you? It's only year two, with a young QB. I'll be pretty surprised if he gets canned after this season, let alone anytime soon.

i think he will be done after this season, especially if the team is sold.

are they even using the first team offense yet? they had 250 yds the first half tonight.

Doug's problem is new ownership. No way he should be fired in year two unless the bottum falls out. But new guys want to put their stamp on things. It happens in every business time after time.

New owners like to bring in there own crew. Pegulla waited to long to do this with the sabres and felt some heat from the fans. I don't think he makes the same mistake again if he gets the team (he is the front runner). So that means a new GM, and GMs like to pick there own coach, someone they want to work with. And I hate to say it (not a bills fan) but it doesn't look like EJ is the answer and no first round pick next year. Very well could be his last year in Buffalo.

I don't want to fan the fire, but does Doug's path mirror any other coach's? Speculating he doesn't return for some reason to the Bills within the next few years, would he stick in the NFL? Back to NCAA?

I think we need a jump to conclusions map.

He's not cut out for college coaching.

After the bills gig, he will be nothing more than a 9-5 OL coach.

I don't think anyone considers him an Offensive guru where he will get an OC job like norv or Gilbride.

His ride is over, hope he invested wisely.

He'll land as an OC in the NFL. Marrone is well-respected by a lot of NFL execs.

Think you're right. He'll find a job as an o-line coach. He was OC in New Orleans only by title - that was Brees/Payton running the show.

Quite shocking he has made it this far given his coaching tree and history, to be honest.

Pegulla also pissed off some of his best players in the process too.

I think they will win enough games this season, that his job will be safe. Those throwing dirt, might be a tad premature.
