Today I received an email from someone in the AD, saying that he would be in my area in the near future and inquiring about a quick meeting over coffee. I have never been contacted like this, and I wonder if it is part of a new outreach effort. I like it.

That's great to hire. I have been hoping for a complete overhaul in their fundraising strategy. Hopefully this is signs of a new approach. Very promising indeed. With the amount of famous Syracuse alumni directly related to sports, and other high ranking positions, it's an embarrassment our fundraising efforts have been so poor for so long.
