My second time through I stopped in Biloxi for a little gambling. Casino was pretty much wiped out a few months later by Hurricane Katrine.

Oh, I know all about that Harrahs. Been there a ton. Just meant, we were considering checking out those cities as we'd never been before and Nola is easily my favorite city in the country.

I can't be down around Bourbon St for more than a night or 2 at this point in my life, its kind of like Vegas with a 48 hour limit. I now spend most of my time over in Marigny/Bywater or in the Garden District.

Wise man, I don't know why anyone would spend anytime on Bourbon St when they visit New Orleans. I have spent a lot of time in NOLA and have not been to Bourbon St in I would say 15 years. Complete waste of time, too many other great areas. Frenchman St is close enough for me.

I still have a tradition to grab a hand grenade or hurricane with some popeyes on day 1 just to get on the spirit but thats about all I need. Was there about 2 months ago and they were doing some major road construction on Bourbon, was a complete mess and not in the sense as it being a mess every night.

Which would justify the sense of inevitability. If there was in fact, no sway, then it doesn't matter who offers.
