I think Rony had 26 pts in the game. Jb said after the game that Rony was finally becoming the player he always thought he was.

Thank Dickie V for the motivation. He was saying on the Sweet 16 preview shows that Rony would struggle against Schintzus. The night before the game, Rony was running around the hallway in the team hotel yelling and fired up because of what Dick was saying. He definitely looked motivated in that game

When playing like they are now- no question. They look like they did earlier in the year. They have been good all year but like earlier when they looked unbeatable, they look so now too.

Looks to me like both OSU and Illinois would shred the zone, their crosscourt passing to the open man is very, very, strong. Partly because they have a great screen game, so the defender rushes over to make up for being screened, while another helps, leaving the offside shooter wide open.

The screen game is less effective against zone though, so there is a glimmer that they may be confused off their regular offence, then if their 3 point shooting is not dialed in???
But really just hoping to be in the tourney at this point.

You can say what you want about the zone, but Ohio State and Illinois wouldn’t be going just one on one against the zone. They would actually have to work the ball.
