Which means someone other than Hughes (Carey) is leaving. We are looking at both. Towns if Hughes leaves.
And I want this big kid.

But do you want this kid big?Which means someone other than Hughes (Carey) is leaving.
And I want this big kid.
Practicing against this kid would help our developing bigs tremendouslyI’d rather recruit a big and have him for four years. We already have 3.5 centers. We don’t need another one that might hurt the growth of our young bigs.
Yeah, but see... we're not getting one of those.I’d rather recruit a big and have him for four years. We already have 3.5 centers. We don’t need another one that might hurt the growth of our young bigs.
Sad but true and JBA wasn't ready at the start of the year and needed a redshirt year. This is where recruiting misses show up and why they probably need a grad transfer because Edwards and JBA are unlikely to have a huge improvement to be ready to log significant minutes next yearI’m all in need this type of player. just watched the Clemson game. Jessie Edwards won’t be ready for a couple more years
JB had a convenient two-fer last Saturday in Ithaca--Jimmy and Tape.
Time to close and lock it up.
Lets take maybe the best shooter in the ACC, and put him under the boards. You are not saying to forcefully enough. Buddy will not move to the 3 even if he keeps growing.
YesSorry if it’s a stupid question but is Hughes likely to leave after this year?
Nobody has a clue. If they say yes or no they don’t know anything.Sorry if it’s a stupid question but is Hughes likely to leave after this year?
He’s the leading scorer in the ACC and when it comes to the NBA, the longer you stay in college, the more your draft stock drops.. if he wants to get drafted, after this year would likely be his best chance, so i think saying yes would be an educated assumption rather than not knowing anything.Nobody has a clue. If they say yes or no they don’t know anything.
I'm shocked we're interested.
Kids don't want to be labelled a center anymore, but if you watch his tape he is playing centerWhat's not to like?
We've been interested in plenty of good bigs... we just can't land any of them.
The Syracuse.com article I found says he's a center, but he's listed as a forward on the Columbia site:
Patrick Tapé - Men's Basketball - Columbia University Athletics
Patrick Tapé (3) Forward - 2018-19: All-Ivy League Honorable Mention … Comes into season ranked No. 1 in career field goal percentage (.613) and seventh in blockedgocolumbialions.com
...and here:
Terps reportedly interested in grad transfer big man
With two sudden holes in the frontcourt, Maryland reached out to a potential solution.247sports.com
"Tape, a 6-foot-9 junior power forward, left the program in early November, announcing plans to sit out the rest of the season and play elsewhere next season as a grad transfer. ..."
I think he has 2 years of eligibility.I’m just asking this is it really smart to take this guy for one year?
Seth Towns from Harvard has 2 years left. Patrick is one and doneI think he has 2 years of eligibility.
Yeah I can't tell them apartSeth Towns from Harvard has 2 years left. Patrick is one and done
