I’m not calling for Dino to get fired but if we don’t go bowling this year and he gets canned it would be hard to argue it was too soon.

You know we only won one game last year right? One winning season in last five. Complete boneheaded time management and use of timeouts. Doesn’t work the refs. And he’s not learning from his mistakes and continues to think he’s the smartest guy in the room and is actually good at these things

Dino is a bad game coach. His decisions are inconsistent and often defy the odds.
You know a coach is making bad decisions when everyone questions it.
On top of poor decisions he makes matters worse by his inability to process quickly under duress. He doesn't process quickly.
Im not saying he lacks intelligence but im 100% convinced that he freezes up under pressure.

Thank God hes a football coach and not a war time 1st Lieutenant

People make it known when they question Dino’s game management. I don’t hear anyone saying how we got the ball back in about 20 seconds after the Lutz fumble and we still had a timeout. It was bad time management by Wake. Throwing on third down and giving SU a timeout was pretty stupid.

Money is only part of the matter. Changing coaches is hard on players and if they are doing well, it makes little sense. There is no doubt that this tea is playing well. A few plays in each of Rutgers, FSU and Wake and this team is 6-0.

Take a look at the big name teams and coaching changes they make and get little improvement.

Changing coaches is not as easy as many think, the hidden costs may be much more than anyone can reasonably calculate.

Yeah. If we go coach shopping this offseason I give it a 75% chance we screw it up and end up with someone worse. And that’s not accounting for a Robinson type disaster hire. Marrone coming back could be like Edsall returning to uconn.

I just need Dino to get a better portal WR than Devaughn Cooper from UTEP.

Eventually some of his coin flip coaching decisions have to work out. It seems like every close call has been the wrong one this year and he’s 0/20.

I’d like to be positive today and say as much as I disagree with Dinos decisions we are a way better team than last year. If we can prevent getting a bunch of defections from transfer portals we could be in really good shape the next few years. I’m proud of how these kids are competing and I feel strongly we can win three more to get to a bowl game

lose Servais and DDavis. Return the rest of the OLine. From what I saw today Ellis and Ilaoa should replace those two rather smoothly. Elmore played well today have to replace him.

Along the DLine-Roscoe Williams Black Jonathan. Return Harper who is already a starter, Okechukwu is a first line player, Lockett played half the game today and played well. Linton got a sack. Ends we should be fine. Interior, we’ll need a couple kids to step up.

Recruiting class has a couple impact guys but recruiting classes shouldn’t be viewed to boost the next season anyhow.

FHCSMFS was an excellent DC, and a super nice guy.
But he was an atrociously bad HC.

We literally never punched above our weight.
Even GERG had 1-2 What?? upset wins.
GERG. Let that sink in.

Shafer had NONE.
Nein. Nada. Zip. Zero.

Plus, his recruiting was not great and getting worse.
(And his ‘best’ croots either never made it to campus, or never panned out).

We didn’t need to see any more seasons of the SS show.
We already knew how they were gonna end.

I feel like this season is a huge waste if they don’t go bowling. I feel like we’re playing to cover the spread in games not to win. Strange decisions on punts, FGs, etc. What are the positives of Dino at this point? We don’t recruit that well either ranking wise. Next guy will bring in a class that is around 50 too.

The problem I have with Dino is when he makes mistakes (taking that penalty and not making them kick a long FG) he doesn’t ever consider that he is wrong.

I am by no means an expert; I just don't see anyone else better than Babers that we actually have a chance at snagging.

When you look at the season to date, the performance, improvement, depth, youth, etc and you see what we have coming back potentially next year and year after, you just have to ride him out. Like I said elsewhere, I think we finish 4-2 and win a bowl. Next year and the year after we should be decent (6-8 wins regular season). If that happens that'd be 3 bowl years in a row and he gets extended.

Yep. I didn’t want to entertain whats been said but he’s pulling a Trill right now. Playing at 70%, bruised and beaten, because we need him too. I would not be shocked at all if he tests the waters this off season.

If we can't get a better coach than Dino Babers we should get out of big time football. The idea that nobody will want this job is crazy. Coaches are ego maniacs. Someone will sign up. Keeping Dino because we can't get anyone else is insane.
