There must be some third cousin of Jokic breaking legs in Transylvania that we can bring over.

You must be talking about this guy?

He's a lot easier on the eyes than the 2024 version![]()

Can’t cover the corner 3, I’ll passJokic himself still has 4 years eligibility and hates the NBA. Just find 100 million and a horse farm to pay him with and boom! Undefeated season.
Yes I am.

with our current S&C program we will never emulate Houston.I don't see how Autry is trying to imitate Huston. There is a little more to doing that than having a 6'9 center.
What I think they are trying to do is find the perfect match for Freeman.
Freeman has the potential to be an elite scorer, so pairing him with another big who needs the ball won't work. Better a dunker who gets garbage baskets.
Freeman isn't a good defender and should be guarding the other team's worst scoring big man. A lot of the time that's going to be a center. If you pair Freeman with a traditional 7 foot lumbering shot blocker, Freeman is going to have to guard the power forward even if that guy is a Cooper Flagg type great scorer. If we have someone next to Freeman who is big enough to guard centers but mobil enough to guard power forwards, we can do a better job of hiding Freeman based on match ups.
Time will tell if it works or not, but it seems clear to me they have a plan, they know what they want and are going out and getting it. Can't ask for more than that at this time of year.
and current mentality, "toughness"with our current S&C program we will never emulate Houston.
Underrated aspect of where we are/aren’t, in my humble opinion.with our current S&C program we will never emulate Houston.
I think a lot of Houston's success may be that they recruit athletes that have that physical profile coming out of High School.Underrated aspect of where we are/aren’t, in my humble opinion.
Our S and C coach is very capable. He spent years in a similar role in the NBA. I did not see a lot of proof our guys were in horrible condition. I do not thing Charles Atlas could have done much with our center this past year. If you want a group as chiseled as the Cougars are it takes the players wanting that too.with our current S&C program we will never emulate Houston.
I just wish the team looked more like Baylor, San Diego State, Houston or Texas Tech especially because those teams don’t see much of a drop off physically when they go to their respective benches. Our S and C coach is very capable. Maybe he wants to visit. Dead period at the moment. The longer this goes...
If the players don’t want it they should be shown the door. You think the football players have a choice? Our S and C coach is very capable. He spent years in a similar role in the NBA. Alot of people around the hoops program are going to be shown the door, if things don't turn around this Fall. Fran hired a whole new S&C crew.If the players don’t want it they should be shown the door. You think the football players have a choice?
The closer we are to the end of the Dead Period? The longer this goes...
I agree with the hope. In the portal era though you may only get a few months in the offseason and need alot of that on the court. Ideally I think this is why there's something to be said about bringing in P4 talent from solid schools. The players need the foundation, but you'll never have them 3-4 years anyway.I just wish the team looked more like Baylor, San Diego State, Houston or Texas Tech especially because those teams don’t see much of a drop off physically when they go to their respective benches.
