When I see a committed top-recruit's thread pop up to the top on the recruiting side and SUOrangeSU as the last poster, I clench up a little bit.

Mintz will get the 2nd or 3rd most FGAs on this team I'd imagine.
LOL I must be scaryyy

We've gotta survive without a portal forward already let's not drive the knife deeper just yet
I am excited to have 3 point guards, from 1 last year, and he got hurt. I think Jessie and Joe as a 2, can be stars. Fowards? I do not feel comfortable. I want to be wrong. Benny was just not good last year. The freshman? Zone has to has tall mobile forwards. So who are are best 3 bets? I know Benny starts, but does he play? Thoughts?

The one thing with Judah is he has the kind of opportunity to be a freshman that can put a team on his back for stretches and control the game.

With the unknowns at forward the optimism I do hold onto is his abilities paired with Joe's to be a top backcourt paired with a top 10 center nationally.
if the guards are strong and the center is strong...then the forwards can just be energy and defense...(which I am confident they can be)

So long as there are say 2.5 shooters on the court sure. You gotta have more than one capable and dangerous shooter these days and even with a good defense that is more and more true. Right now we have 1 guy who we know is a capable deep threat at a good pct clip.

The freshmen are an unknown, Judah included in terms of having a consistent shot or the ability to keep a defense honest.

Judah will need to be one of those other shooters or two of the freshmen will have to step up. It's the biggest concern offensively and without it the offensive strengths will be less effective as teams clamp down.

if jesse can become dominant in 1 on 1 moves with the ball in the post...and the team can get him the ball reliably...(which, is kinda iffy as entry passes seem to have been a weakness for a long time now)...thats gonna open so much up on offense.

plus if the guards namely symir and judah can penetrate...that will open up a lot too. last years team was basically doing everything without any dribble penetration...which is like trying to play with one arm these days...very hard.

taylor bunch and benny are gonna have their chances to shoot...hopefully they will be able to knock some down. if all 3 struggle to shoot, it will be an issue...(dont think that will be the case though)

if there was a 3 point specialist Forward in the portal, would be nice to bring him in for cover...I think the team will be fine in terms of shooting though, personally.

He’ll be our next first rounder. Book it

Yeah I'm with you here. The maturity in his game plus how crafty he is- kid pays major attention to detail like Melo did. Not comparing them just the advanced skill set and movement on the fly reacting quickly to how he is defended. Kind of like a little bit of Tyus mixed with Ennis.

That'll be Jesse.

But Mintz will follow.
I am a huge Jesse fan, but I don't know (as in I am unable to really judge) if he is a good enough athlete to be 1st round guy, especially as a finesse player. (You can see glimpses, but the lean length makes him look a bit more athletic than he is, I think.). Then again, What do I know about who will draft who and why? I am curious to see how he come back size and attitude wise.

I 1000% view him as a late 1st rounder. Not a lotto guy.

Lotto guys are freak athletes or have such advanced skills for their age it's weird (Luka).

Late 1st rounders are usually dudes with some upside and skill and production to back it up but with a lot less certain long-term projection.

That sounds like Edwards to me. There's something there. It's not a finished product. It's not clear what the finished product is or how long it takes to get there.

He'll just need one team to think they can make it happen though.

Don’t see Jesse in the first unless he becomes a better passer and rebounder.
