I think my biggest question will be: how long will his leash be? Like the flashy plays are fine if they work, but it seems like Quadir is a little turn over prone right now. Hopefully all that stuff can be cleaned up by the time he gets to campus and earns consistent PT.
A coach told me that the worst flashy plays that drove him nuts were actually the easy plays that some players relished making into difficult and risky ones. He said the best and most efficient players make the difficult plays look easy.
I also noticed it appears he said something to Sherm as he ran past, I imagine something like "let's pizzoff Bobby Knight" lol. If the clip went another few seconds the camera panned over to Knight and the look on his face was priceless.
I was at that game in the Garden and I reveled in Knight's misery. That was as fun a game as I have ever attended. We ran, alley-ooped and dunked like something out of a Space Jam movie. There were many time Sherman just seemed to throw the ball up in the air and all of a sudden Stevie, Billy, DC or Dave Johnson would appear out of nowhere for the throw down. Knight just seemed defeated by the end of the game and I loved it.
Was Matt Roe really looking for the pass from Stevie? One of, if not our best, open court guys in history on the break with nobody in front of him, in the Garden, against Bobby Knight and Matt wanted Stevie to pass?

A flashy play, just like a huge slam, can really ignite a team and get the juices going. I am all for the flash and dash....as long as the play is actually executed.
