Pitt Gameday...

Halfway through last year in addition to other injuries we had QB issues, even when GS was on the field. McCord is an incredible QB and like you said, he’s not injured. We haven’t had a QB of this caliber since McNabb, so we have a chance in every game just because of that.

This is a big opportunity for Cuse. Primetime game. National spotlight. Ranked opponent. Recruits have noticed things are turning around under Fran Brown. Tonight is a chance to tune in and see if the hype is real...I am curious myself.

Pitt has been in a lot of squeaker games and we have made a lot of games interesting this year as well. I would be more surprised if this isn't decided on a last second field goal or OT. That's why I'm going to drink a LOT of IPAs this evening. I don't know how some of you do this sober.

Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to a last second FG, considering how great their kicker is and how, um, not great ours is. The thought of it makes me want to grab the bottle right now!

It's funny that none of us are thinking that win tonight and we are bowl eligible. In years past, we would have gone nuts for a bowl eligible game. Now, we are going nuts to keep playoff dreams alive...

The times...

That's because of so many of us diehards here having quite low standards/expectations, and what was deemed a successful season, etc. And, how the fact that one's own thinking is just that...one's own thinking. :)

"In fact, I'm going to show you what success is. See that on my [wall] up there? Do you see that [points his camera to two photos of Syracuse's only two undefeated teams in 1987 and 1959]? 1959. 1987. That's success. That's what [success] is for me because that's why I was hired. I wasn't hired here to be anything less than that. So when that doesn't happen, that's what I feel success is, I put a lot of pressure and weight on myself because I can handle it. To whom much is given, much is required."

"So that's success to me. I'm not going to sit in here, like I told you guys when we were on the show before, I think it was us and coach Robinson, I'm not going to tell you 8-4 is successful." ~
Fran Brown.
