I like you, but to be clear, you're not going to provide any specificity or assert that you know something as a fact, right? No, barring a change of heart from the non SU bball admin Red will be back next year. Could that change, maybe but I'd be very surprised
I think being up 16 was more to the fact that Pitt never came out of the lockerrrom. They had more turnovers in the first five minutes than they did in the entire game the last time we played. They were absolutely awful and we were making some shots. The game was over before the second half started. They were basically toying with us until they decided to play. You need three scorers on a team to win. Last night we had Bell and a very bad JJ. That was it. Our four portal players barely score 20 points COMBINED. This is a typical bad team. You can play pretty good for a few minutes, but that’s it. Watch bad NBA teams. They can stay in it for spots, but the better teams usually pull away and they are all pros.Enough talent to be up 16
I know this isnt what we want to hear but could give some hope. JW is at least aware and 2/3 more weeks of evidence might help in presenting his case.Reds buyout is minimal at best, again you guys are barking up the wrong tree, Red returning is coming from above Wildhack.
If they lose to NC St yesare we going to miss the ACCT?
That sums it up in my view. I'm just not sure what anyone can point to as strengths to have any optimism for improvement. Our HC lacks in game management skills, has difficulty roster building and has no fire. I'm a nice guy too but can't coach a D1 program.
This is right. I kinda hate the "we were up such-and-such" talk in basketball, unless that big lead was very late in the game. Otherwise, that's just basketball. A game of runs. Leads grow and collapse. It's simply how the game is played.I think being up 16 was more to the fact that Pitt never came out of the lockerrrom. All the hope seems entirely built upon Kline's player evaluation ability, and a massive increase in player compensation funding. Not anything specifically about Autry. That sums it up in my view. I'm just not sure what anyone can point to as strengths to have any optimism for improvement.
An upset would mean we have a quality win…..since we don’t have any of those the simple answer is no.This is right. People in the game thread were warning that having only a 7 point halftime lead was ominous, given how poorly Pitt played and how hot we were from 3.
A thing I find disturbing, however, is that we don't upset anyone. To your point about the NBA, a crap team will upset the Celtics every once in a while, for example.
Have we pulled off a real upset this season? Maybe we beat someone who was a slight betting favorite, but I can't recall anything meaningful.
are you sure that isn't Wolfman Jack's grandson?Hope he takes Sadiq with him.
And Melo's money.
But the next coach will look like Jason Kelce, so you'll have that going for you.

Autry is basically going to be like the 5 year old that the pilot lets in the cockpit to pretend like he's flying the plane. All the hope seems entirely built upon Kline's player evaluation ability, and a massive increase in player compensation funding. Not anything specifically about Autry.
This, just seems like we are going to throw money at this. It’s an NIL issue, which I don’t believe is the main problem. All the hope seems entirely built upon Kline's player evaluation ability, and a massive increase in player compensation funding. Not anything specifically about Autry.
As MSOrange will tell you, i’ve been in this situation for several years. It pains be because it used to be a huge part of my winter life.I never thought I’d say this but I can’t watch this team … so bad ..
Not there yet unfortunately. This team is still playing a half or 10 mins of hoops per game.It feels like the shark has been now been jumped.
My daughter has been a grad student member of the BOT. They care about athletics. When teams do well interest in the school skyrockets with applications and everything else that comes with it.I know this isnt what we want to hear but could give some hope. JW is at least aware and 2/3 more weeks of evidence might help in presenting his case.
As I previously mentioned, in my opinion, this is another example of the BOT meddling in duties of the AD. These folks certainly dont care about on field performance, I dont know if they even care about the lost revenue and future of the program.
I was wondering when the GMAC hate would return. Took longer than I thought. Why in the world would we want GMAC?
I like you, but to be clear, you're not going to provide any specificity or assert that you know something as a fact, right?
I do think money is a big part of our problem. However, I’ve yet to get an answer in whether our new funding will actually keep pace with player compensation inflation and the growth in funding at other schools. This, just seems like we are going to throw money at this. I’ve said all season that Autry is coming back. I’m honestly pretty agnostic about it. I’ve said that there’s a multiverse where we improve a lot next year.Dude with all due respect I don't need to provide you with a signed affidavit. You seem like a good poster but no one to my knowledge made you the inspector general of syracusefan.com. You’re free to believe or not believe any information a poster provides but there's a reason why dasher probably blocked you and isn't responding. People aren't going to give you sources or whatever it is you’re looking for. I'd like to think my track record speaks for itself. No one bats 100% but when I've shared info it's been right more often than not. Clearly you want Red gone but if you can't read between the lines when people are trying to explain why that's not likely to happen I can't help you.
Yeah there seems to be a lack of clarity on that funding (and its implications). Could help but we would still be left with poor in game management skills and lack of fire. If that funding somewhat levels the playing field then those two particular characteristics take on even more importance.I do think money is a big part of our problem. So color me skeptical until we hear about those dynamics. .
Maybe I’m just delusional, but for as bad as this season has been, I still struggle to believe that Autry is *this* bad of a coach.Yeah there seems to be a lack of clarity on that funding (and its implications). And people are more than welcome to ignore my questions or block me. I’ve just grown extremely tired of the cloak and dagger routine here. Mostly because people look down their nose at the rabble and talk in private threads about how dumb everyone is. Meanwhile they’re not posting the intel that would make everyone smarter. It’s a choice and it’s kind of tedious.
