I think being up 16 was more to the fact that Pitt never came out of the lockerrrom. They had more turnovers in the first five minutes than they did in the entire game the last time we played. They were absolutely awful and we were making some shots. The game was over before the second half started. They were basically toying with us until they decided to play. You need three scorers on a team to win. Last night we had Bell and a very bad JJ. That was it. Our four portal players barely score 20 points COMBINED. This is a typical bad team. You can play pretty good for a few minutes, but that’s it. Watch bad NBA teams. They can stay in it for spots, but the better teams usually pull away and they are all pros.

I know this isnt what we want to hear but could give some hope. JW is at least aware and 2/3 more weeks of evidence might help in presenting his case.

As I previously mentioned, in my opinion, this is another example of the BOT meddling in duties of the AD. These folks certainly dont care about on field performance, I dont know if they even care about the lost revenue and future of the program.

Have we pulled off a real upset this season? Maybe we beat someone who was a slight betting favorite, but I can't recall anything meaningful.

An upset would mean we have a quality win…..since we don’t have any of those the simple answer is no.

I would never bet on this team but when we walked into the half I knew we were going to lose even with a decent lead. Fell in love with the 3 and no desire to play defense.

Autry is basically going to be like the 5 year old that the pilot lets in the cockpit to pretend like he's flying the plane.

This, just seems like we are going to throw money at this. It’s an NIL issue, which I don’t believe is the main problem.

As MSOrange will tell you, i’ve been in this situation for several years. It pains be because it used to be a huge part of my winter life.

Not there yet unfortunately. This team is still playing a half or 10 mins of hoops per game.

I expect the low point will be in the Players Era tourney next Thanksgiving where we finish somewhere around 17th-18th place after multiple blowouts during the week.

The shark being jumped will be the pain we feel during the noncon when we see a repeat of this year and then have to wait until the axe falls on Autry.

All during those weeks we'll have to listen to all the people screaming how they were right and gloating about how they knew Autry was not the right choice years ago posting over and over again.

My daughter has been a grad student member of the BOT. They care about athletics. When teams do well interest in the school skyrockets with applications and everything else that comes with it.

People aren't going to give you sources or whatever it is your looking for. I'd like to think my track record speaks for itself. No one bats 100% but when I've shared info it's been right more often than not. I’ve said all season that Autry is coming back. I’m honestly pretty agnostic about it. I’ve said that there’s a multiverse where we improve a lot next year.

And people are more than welcome to ignore my questions or block me. I’ve just grown extremely tired of the cloak and dagger routine here. Mostly because people look down their nose at the rabble and talk in private threads about how dumb everyone is. Meanwhile they’re not posting the intel that would make everyone smarter. It’s a choice and it’s kind of tedious.

Yeah there seems to be a lack of clarity on that funding (and its implications). Could help but we would still be left with poor in game management skills and lack of fire. If that funding somewhat levels the playing field then those two particular characteristics take on even more importance.

Maybe I’m just delusional, but for as bad as this season has been, I still struggle to believe that Autry is *this* bad of a coach.

I know he’s a very smart guy. I know he knows the game better than 99% of people on the planet.

Most coaches are pretty average and can win if they have superior talent. It’s the real outliers who are exceptional or terrible. I want to think Autry is in the middle of the bell curve. Maybe I’m really wrong.

I can't speak to anyone else whose posting information, but certainly what I posted was far from cloak and dagger, I pretty much spelled it out. As to people discussing information in private threads, yes it does happen but there's no conspiracy and I have never seen a poster talk about those not involved like their peasants or "rabble" as you noted. You are way overthinking this.
