BCS / Power-5 schools don't do that to each other. They either cancel the whole series or reschedule a game if there is a scheduling problem.

Examples: the Syracuse vs. VPI series was dropped when SU requested a change in playing dates; WVU dropped their series with FSU at the last minute after their instant move to the Bevo conference. Those that want to point to the SU at Wyoming game need to recall that Wyoming was not member of a BCS auto-bid conference.

An attempt by a P-5 school to get out of a return game at another P-5 school would set a very bad precedent. Swofford would place a call to Slive to rectify the situation. It's not going to happen.

I hope you are right but just in case you are not, I want a CYA contract. Let's just make this one air tight.

While stationed at Barksdale AFB, near Shreveport, LA, i discovered that many people still thought the south would be rising up soon to shed the shackles of the north, there would be civil war!

My wife's dad is a retired USAF colonel and they were stationed at Barksdale. My wife still wears a Barksdale shirt from 1992.

I arrived at Barksdale in January 1992 as a lowly Airman First Class. I doubt I met your Father in Law but I did serve with him.

Thanks to your FiL and his whole family. Families of military members may not get official recognition but they serve the country as much as their military member. Hope we get to meet at the game.

I have lived among LSU fans for 31 years. They don't believe anyone can play football outside of the SEC.

They have no respect at all for any team from the North. The tailgates are great and the fans will share.

Well, you should let them know we have a winning record versus the SEC since the 1980's - 8 wins, 7 losses and 1 tie, including 5 straight wins after Pat Dye's chicken act in the 1987 (88) Sugar Bowl.

We've beaten LSU, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Kentucky and Vanderbilt (2x).
