Purdue Postgame Party...

To me these guys seem more athletic and able to separate than years past. I think the hands will come. I know what Dino said is a bit lol but catching deep balls at night under lights vs day in the Dome is different
They definitely look the part much more than last units. A couple just need to step up ASAP. Shrader’s not gonna last if we can’t catch.

We all know he did the right thing. It was the class move and I agree. But, I was texting with some folks who thought he should’ve scored. If that was FSU playing last night, does Jordan Travis take a knee? Probably not. That’s what makes Cuse, Cuse and FSU, FSU. However, I’m wondering, does anyone here think it would’ve been okay to score?

I would’ve scored and I would’ve wanted my player to score and I wanted GS to score. I was disappointed he slid. Don’t think he gets in though….but whatever

One thing that was really interesting (I think a couple of people call it out in the game thread) was Perry serving as the blocker in Beck’s version of the “jumbo” package. He absolutely blew up two players. Looking forward to seeing him being utilized more.

And no penalties, unlike what we saw last year from that position in those packages.

Saying our WRs struggled is being negative? No it’s being realistic. They struggled to separate and catch consistently against a weak secondary. I don’t watch these games with orange colored glasses, I watch it with a realistic mindset. If you don’t like that put me on ignore.

You have to realize, just about everything in the Pollyanna type world/train of thought is deemed a negative if not rah rah in nature etc., as they are incapable of deciphering between reality and negativity.

Good thing they will be sitting at a table, because that might be a trick getting Hummel and Noah in the same camera shot for basketball.

Absolutely. It’s always been a massive gripe of mine in all the fanbases of the teams I support. If you’re not completely and unequivocally positive about the team, you’re seen as negative. It’s almost as if you’re not allowed to mention where the team could be better or where they struggled, you have to stay quiet or just say how great everything is. Really weird mindset to have.

well the multiple PI calls against purdue saved several drives. don't think it was too one-sided.
penalties were 9-11 with us up 20 yds. as for the fumbles the dude did touch the ball OOB. the scrum...who knows what happened under there. we came away with it but whateveva. the two worst calls against us IMO was the faux face mask and the low hit. overall tho we can't really complain.
“In the fourth quarter with Syracuse up by eight, Purdue was driving trying to tie the game. Running back Devin Mockobee got hit and lost the football. The ball bounced on the ground and a pile was created as players tried to recover the fumble. Two officials were at the recovery/pile and both signaled it was Syracuse ball. Syracuse cornerback Isaiah Johnson got up from the pile with the ball. Yet, for some reason, an official several yards away from the pile came in and overruled the other two. Replay showed there was never a point where a Purdue player had possession of the ball. The official who overruled the other two should, in my opinion, be suspended for such actions. You cannot overrule two officials right on top of the play when you are that far away and therefore would not be able to see what you claim occurred.”-Mike Mccallister

If I saw it right, it was the Head official that overruled the other two and the head official, of course, that watched the review and upheld his own call. I think he did it just so not to embarrass himself.

So..This Syracuse team is Good. It's just a Good Damn football team.

LBs and secondary can cover and make tackles at point of contact. They are also turnover machines. DL can get pressure even with 3 dudes. That's massive. They can keep everything under them too when offense gives them a lead.

The offense is just getting started. GS and OCJB seem to be in sync. He's loving the game right now. Allen seems like such a team guy (running with him on the last score to block and/or celebrate!, GS does the same for him). The wideouts need some sticky gloves or something.

ST and coaching (running clock, good reviews, no real mistakes with sideline so far this year/need to call timeouts, etc).

It's starting to come together - keep the ball moving against Army.

I wanted him to score because Walters took a timeout for no reason. They had a chance to call the game and chose not to. And they had a very dirty tackle on Alford in the first half. The kid gator rolled him when he was already clearly down. You don't do that.

I'd have run it up.

Whispers amongst NFL execs suggests that Shraders classy mature decision to slide on his last run raises questions about his competitiveness and if he really loves the game of football.
Maybe he should become a serial predator, he will be drafted number 1 and get a guaranteed $230 mil contract

they misspelled his name. it's MOCKOBOBBLE

Didn’t he have his helmet on at end of game? Idk he seemed okay
NBC was showing the sideline at the end of the game and you could clearly see Jones (80) walking around. He didn’t have his helmet on at the time, but he seemed to be walking around well to me in the short clip you could see him.
