Class of 2023 QB LaNorris Sellers (SC) Flipped to South Carolina

I am pretty sure I read somewhere that Beamer had a tantrum after a loss, kicked something and broke his foot? Great mentor for the players. He either freaked out in the lock room and the players saw it or he did it out of sight but the players know he lost control and did it. Either way what an effin dipscheet. Yeah winning is nice but not having an embarrassment for a coach is also nice. Beamer is an embarrassment and is losing. Not a good combo.

I don’t like Beamer and coaching isn’t yelling at kids all game, like most of America thinks. But after games coaching I’ve lost it and I think it’s good for players to see that losing isn’t acceptable. Not sure why it’s an embarrassment at all. Getting in players faces and cussing them out when it’s you’re coaching that sucks, that’s embarrassing. Kicking something to show your angry and frustrated isn’t embarrassing.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Agree to disagree on part of your message. You can show you care, that losing isn't acceptable and emotions without losing control so much you break your foot kicking something that clearly wasn't meant to be kicked. To me that is not how you lead. He didn't display he cared, he displayed when you lose control you make poor decisions.

I can careless if a coach kicks me and my whole family as long as he wins. I’m so sick of the “Dino represents the university well”. No he doesn’t, we are losers and if you lose your program looks awful nationally. Enough is enough with the nice guy. Bring in someone who wins. We can worry about his off field crap then. It’s about wins and nothing else.

First I didn't mention Dino. Second I would in a perfect world prefer a coach who doesn't kick ticket holders...I mean I am a fan but not that much of a fan. And no schit sherlock, we all want wins. How about this? A coach who wins AND (wait for it)...who isn't an effin embarrassment.

I’m not that picky just bring in wins, the university can have law student defend all the broken laws.

"It was after the game, and certainly that was a gut-wrenching and emotional loss," Beamer told reporters. "I was frustrated and kicked something I shouldn't have kicked and thought I was OK, and then the adrenaline of the game wore off."

Beamer expounded on the incident Wednesday on the SEC coaches teleconference, saying, "It wasn't like I went in the locker room and just had some complete meltdown and went ballistic for five minutes of screaming and yelling and throwing and kicking things."

"Before anyone starts the narrative like the head football coach is frustrated and lost his poise and all that -- no, I care. I care about these kids, and I was really upset on Saturday night because I didn't do enough to help them get over the hump and win the football game," said Beamer, who guided the Gamecocks to winning records in each of his first two seasons.

That makes winning 28% of the time all better?

We wouldn’t be any better. And he’d be a thousand plus miles away from home.

I’m hoping he ends up at Cuse somehow still, but losing to those teams when we would too isnt it.

#1, screw the Beamer family. I'm not going to miss any opportunity to revel in their misfortune.

#2, screw the USC fanbase.

#3, he flipped on us on signing day. This wasn't about him transferring here, it was an observation about this year probably not being enjoyable for him from a football standpoint.

That's all.

I don’t disagree, but you can have both a coach that is well mannered and wins. Other than his boneheaded decisions and not winning, he is a great coach. It’s the “not winning” part that none of us can tolerate. Of the rest of the season any way emulates or last three games, he has to go.

But we're not 2-5, and they are.

And when we go bowling this year, Sellars can watch on TV, since his team won't qualify for bowl eligibility.
I hope we bowl, we will see. Sellers didn’t care about our school. He felt loyal to Beck, not a reason to come here, just let the kid be

They’ve lost to UNC, UGA, Tenn, Florida and Mizzou.

Seriously?
You have a valid point that SC losses are to some very good competition. However, that’s the conference that he’s playing in and if he keeps losing he will be out of a job. An SEC school like SC isn’t going to accept that level of performance - theses aren’t “good losses.”

This is a petty thread. The kid is playing at an instate school, so his family can come see him, and it’s the SEC. Like I posted above, the only reason he flipped to SU is because he loves Beck but pretty clear his heart wasn’t in it. The idea that he should be crying in his beer with regret because we might play in the Fenway Bowl is insane.

Dumb post.

I normally love your posts, as you undoubtedly know from our lengthy history of generally being on similar pages, but I'll post whatever I want -- I don't need your permission.

I'll also enjoy / make fun of Beamer misfortune at every available opportunity. Nothing insane about that.

Edit -- and not sure why you feel compelled to defend some kid that squarely dicked our program over. He's not transferring here.
