It was a very solid team. My biggest memory of the LSU game was Joe Namath announcing, he wouldn’t shut the hell up about how LSU was going to wear us down. I think he was saying it as we were handed the HOF Bowl trophy. In fairness the poor guy was probably drunk at the time
