I'm not too sure about that. I think Salter and Collins were 1a and 1b. The NIL package for Salter may have been the issue.

I don't know him. Never met him. But people that I know and think highly of, think he is a great guy and a great reporter. Against odds growing up, fought his way and has made something of himself.

He’s the same exact guy who used to read us the lunch menu and sports report for morning announcements in HS. He’s not a bad guy, this is how he’s always been. I do miss those days of slop being on the lunch menu.

People want reporters to ask tough questions until they ask tough questions of someone they like. And sometimes, it's just the way they look.

I know him and you are dead on. He’s literally living his dream job. Like i said in a previous post he used to do morning announcements when we were in HS and was very good back then. He’d even throw in a sports report.

I like him better than others and I like others better than him. From his high school tapes and scouting reports, he looks like he has all the talent in the world. After sitting for two years I don't think he is transferring to sit some more.

Nixon has to be salivating watching the strong arm hitting all those deep crossing routes on the tape. Wanted this guy bad, his high school and elite 11 tape is crazy good. Not sure what to expect with Collins.
4-star QB who originally committed to Purdue (?!) but was talked into staying home by Brian Kelly.
I saw an article where he said he was also pursued by FSU and Penn State.

Only appeared in mop-up time in three games this year. 5 for 5 on the season.
Then, during the Florida game, AJ Swann becomes Nussmeier's backup and Collins doesn't set foot on the field again.

I hope he's got an accurate arm and he's not a guy who would rather run than attempt a tough pass.

I’d take as many as possible. With Collins having 3 years i would go for someone with experience if they pop up. Otherwise it’s going to be a big roll of the dice going into next year. We could see anything from Drew Allen to CDRW to someone very good. Not the year i’d want a lot of uncertainty. Also, who else was after Collins?
