Certainly the ideal situation.I think it's just competition for JW; Collins replaces CDRW. We'll still need him even when McCord comes back for next season.

True but not nearly as bad in years pastI’m not sure why everyone assumes every HS QB they bring in will be the next guy? We’ve seen so many bad QB’s over the last 25 years how can anyone have any confidence in a HS QB without seeing him play? Right now without McCord our QB room would be suspect at best.
I’m not worried about it. Bring in best players and best man winsI wouldn’t worry about it. Things will sort themselves out. Just another QB to compete. Let the best man win.
Passer of the football is what we were discussing and phlicox was much better throwing the ball than shrader. Different era but a 9 year career in the NFL would tell you as much.
Really seems like the narrative is changing fast on Williams. End of the season the chatter was he blew the doors off the scout team all season and was starting to steal QB2 snaps, clear leader at QB heading into next season, if McCord sits the bowl we get a nice sneak preview.
Now it's not sounding like that.
I’d certainly call committing to the same school two days in a row Relentless. So hang on, was he not DART yesterday, but is DART today?

DART...being willing to sit behind the starter for a year.
Let’s all apologize to Axe. The info I had gotten was from a very very reliable person, he supposedly wasn’t DART material much like Costanza wasn’t Penske material. Recruiting is strange, man
The expectations of finding McCords annually need to be shelved. He was a unique situation where Fran had a relationship going back to childhood and McCord's original home didn't realize what they had and let him go. Had they known and guaranteed him the starting job, he stays and we have a different qb this year. We may never see those circumstances again. It's more likely we find a Joe Burrow that is buried at his first home, transfers out, then blossoms at his next stop. We'll have to trust the staff's scouting. Hopefully this dude is Joe Burrow. Or maybe Williams is and this dude transfers again.Kyle was the difference between 9-3 and 3-9 this year. I assume fran knows that the answer is on the roster if that's how he is handling it because he's proven he knows what's up. In general though, i dont think you short the QB position on powder.
The "journalism profession" has to start adhering to the established practices. The problem is, the true journalists are competing against the journos that just try to scoop everyone without recourse for jumping the gun.soooooo we all going to stop crapping on the journalism profession or are we too high on our horses?
I agree but the schedule it top 5 in country so far and obviously that can change. Really hard for ANY Frosh no matter how good he is to manuever that and do well. Now if he lights it up and beats out a 4* kid then we gotour guy. Cant just give it to him.Really seems like the narrative is changing fast on Williams. The nerd talk can go to the nerd board this is a board of BALL talk and a house of learned doctorssoooooo we all going to stop crapping on the journalism profession or are we too high on our horses?
He obviously heard something as he knows the rules about jumping the gun.The "journalism profession" has to start adhering to the established practices. The problem is, the true journalists are competing against the journos that just try to scoop everyone without recourse for jumping the gun.
If you're talking about Axe, I agree. He knew. But, I think many knew, he just jumped on it to get clicks. That may cost him in the long runHe obviously heard something as he knows the rules about jumping the gun.
I for one am committed to learning nothing from this.soooooo we all going to stop crapping on the journalism profession or are we too high on our horses?
Do we know though? We saw what we had in 2023 and it was terrifying. We have no idea about JW. Johnson, who i don’t view highly at all, was the back up the entire season.True but not nearly as bad in years past
Yea i shouldn’t have worded it as you’re worried. I know what you mean.I’m not worried about it. Bring in best players and best man wins
Personal growth is SOOOOO overrated. Commit to your flaws.I for one am committed to learning nothing from this.
We get it, you're not a fan of Collins.Do we know though? We saw what we had in 2023 and it was terrifying. We have no idea about JW. Johnson, who i don’t view highly at all, was the back up the entire season.
