"I don't see anything wrong with how it's handled, conversation over" lol

Have you ever been in a locker room? How this was handled would definitely rub me the wrong way as an athlete.
I think the problem with this is that none of us have been in this specific locker room. Maybe there is truth to Pena questioning how good Rickie is. If that's the case and they know that Rickie isnt the guy, then if I was a player I'd want the coaches to bring in a transfer with the best chance to win. We simply just don't know

Moves like this is why anyone running Pena down doesn't get it. It's a me first sport. Fran and Pena doing the same thing, looking out for what they see as their best interest. Fran's interest coincides with ours so he's a hero. Pena's don't so he's a bum.

But my point is this kind of plays into the whole "mishandling" discussion. If Fran personally felt that Rickie wasn't good enough, he never should have put that comment out there (and attributed it to Pena). Now, people on here now have a preconceived notion about Rickie being good enough.

I feel like the nuance is lost on some, but I also completely agree with the premise with "if he's not good enough, find someone who is and bring them in". But some players also might feel that Rickie deserves a chance to show what he can do and he's "their guy".

Fran will make mistakes and that's okay. It's not a binary argument.

Holland farms, Georgios and Romas. Simple as that.
I grew up in Yorkville. I was too young to cross Oriskany Blvd in the late 70s to Holland Farms. I think I had to wait until I was 12. Then, it was game on. I raised my kids in New Hartford and Georgios was an institution. Roma Sausage in East Utica was my go to lunch spot for subs.

I can definitely agree with that. I really wish we could have seen Rickie play in the spring game...even if it would have meant next to nothing in regards to how good he is, it would have been nice to get a look and alleviate some fan concerns

Yeah, but to some of us, we grew up there, or in the surrounding areas. Birthplace of chicken riggies, tomato pie and halfmoons...so...
The only thing I remember about Utica was driving by this place whenever we played them at baseball or basketball. Thought the town was a dump. LOL.

Grew up in New Hartford but moved to Florida a few years ago.

That was on Bagg's Square, if I remember correctly. You were probably on your way back to Rt 12. Bagg's Square is the birthplace of the city, but fell in to difficult times. I think it's better now.

I grew up in Yorkville, went to New York Mills in the 1980's. I've been in Florida for 3 years.

Word is stronger than oak

I was born at St. E’s but my family moved out when I was 3. Still have relatives there. I just saw that Holland Farms is opening a store in Manlius (which Angeli can visit if he commits to Cuse.)

wait till Angeli sees Erie Boulevard after being on ND's beautiful campus for years lol
Dude, have you been to south bend? Lol. Not saying it’s better or worse than cuse, just a meh midwestern small city/town. The campus is nice yes, but so is cuse campus.
