Based on this old Notre Dame pic, looks like mom and dad are there as well:

If you want a chance to compete against a top schedule you are going to need more than 1 capable QB.
This. Every top ten team brings in multiple potential starters to let them battle it out. This is why we got McCord, Collins and potentially Angelli. They did not win their battle on their former team. If we want to become a top team we need as fans to change our thinking from we hope we can find a starter to we want several potential starters within our team to battle it out.

This will most likely mean we will lose QBs to the transfer portal. But that’s the reality of being a top team these days.

Pretty sure that’s himView attachment 251438
The meeting of the 6 families to "make the peace." Fortunately the Angeli's and the Campanile's have a mutual interest in this business. since Nunzio just "made him an offer he couldn't refuse." After breakfast they left the tip and took the cannoli.

Angeli does not leave this town w/o his signature on a deal!

Just as long as Michael doesn't come out of the Men's room guns blazing...

Speaking ojoy for myself, when I say Collins is dual threat (or anyone else,on SU for, that matter), I am not saying if he ends up starting, we are going to have 10-15 designed running plays for the QB called each game.

I think we all know the Syracuse offense is built around a backbone of RPO plays. These plays are designed to make the defense choose to account for the QB running and gamble some on less pass coverage, or focus on pass coverage and dare the QB to run.
I would add we started running the ball better towards the end of the year when we scrapped or at least limited the RPO for a more traditional running attack

Devito was absolutely terrible here. Had no feel for the game at all
Just a bad combination here at the 'Cuse. Every down was like a jailbreak. Glad he had his moments in the league.

This level of sleuthing is only rivaled by the medical transport plane searching from the Dan Mullen thread.

Great work!
Is that security cam footage? Why else would nobody be looking at the camera with a smile?

Well, yeah - because teams knew that Kyle was 144% NEVER gonna keep the ball.

Kinda defeats the purpose of RPO, when there's ZERO chance of it ever being R.

At least whomever our QB1 is this Fall, they can actually R it a little bit, and keep opposing D's honest.

Who says Kyle can't run it!!! Jj/k .. he's not a runner, but this is a pretty cool play

Back in my day (50's) Utica had an identity. Italian mafia and the "Sin City" of the east. Gateway to the Adirondacks. More than a few entertainment and sports celebrities over the years. Dick Clark, Annette Funicello, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Wynn, Bobo Salerno, Andy Van Slyke, Dave Cash, Robert Esche, Will Smith just off the top of my head. Politics and taxes killed it and the anchor businesses all eventually moved on.
My grandfather was an attorney in Syracuse post WW 2 era. He had a lot of Utica clients. When he passed we cleaned out his office safe. There was a .38 with a filed down serial number. Turned that over to the sheriffs.

Was a candid. Took it from the bar so the angle is elevated. He just happened to be looking in my general direction at that moment.
