He might be worth the $$$...I’m curious to see if we get him. At end of season I would have bet a lot of money on him being Orange but then I heard he may have been chasing more money.
He’s absolutely worth the money. This is what I’ve been asking for, another guy on the depth chart that has done it. We need that contingency and strength of depth. He might be worth the $$$...
That type of production, despite his size limitations, is worth the risk IMO
- FCS All-American and the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year
- The most accurate passer in the FCS in 2025, 74 % CP, 7.7 % off-target rate
- Set an NCAA record by completing his first 46 passes against Wolford
- 39 TDs, 3 turnovers
- Averaged 9.6 yards per attempt - 4th best in the FCS.
- 624 passing yds, 6 TDs against Samford; 560 passing, 7 TDs against Mercer
I'm all in on Taron Dickens (as if that matters)
Because of the timing and extent of Angeli's recovery, the selling point is the opportunity to compete for QB1. Tough sell - absolutely. He’s going to have some strong starting QB offers. I feel like this is going to be near impossible to get him no?
I think it has to be the pitch and if Steve is the right guy for the program he should be open to that pitch after witnessing what happened last year after he was injured. That cannot happen again.Because of the timing and extent of Angeli's recovery, the selling point is the opportunity to compete for QB1. Tough sell - absolutely.
I have reason to believe this is the pitch despite FB's public endorsement that Angeli WILL be QB1. This is only a guess, but I think those kind of statements from Fran are more about lessening concern for players who don't want to risk coming/staying here without a known QB.
I think we can take it to the bank that Angeli is completely informed AND onboard with Fran's thinkingI think it has to be the pitch and if Steve is the right guy for the program he should be open to that pitch after witnessing what happened last year after he was injured. That cannot happen again.
Don Mcpherson, Marvin Graves...He seems short...Cuse QBs who have stayed healthy have always been taller. Cant trust our Oline.
TWO legs? You? Really? What a coincidence, that's also my potential girlfriend checklist.
If Fran starts saying things like "Big, more compact but not super tall people push smaller people around" it's a good sign he's coming and we're rethinking offensive line a little bit.I worry a bit about his height and his release at the P4 level. It takes him a bit to get the ball out and taller lines are going to be a challenge.
