Nice problem to haveThis young man would be a fantastic addition to the QB room for Syracuse. No question. That said Steve Angeli was top 5 passing leader in the NCAA through week 4 and it was really done in 3.5 games given his injury.
Steve was pretty good when it finally clicked, all be it in a small sample size. But I think Dickens is a great fit for SU right now. There will always be doubts on shorter QB's until he's proven it at the next level. You don't know who will be the exception. But I think Fran and Nixon can sell the Dickens out of this situation. I see it going something like this. The Steve Angeli we saw from the 4th quarter of UConn to Clemson is a Heisman trophy contending QB. If that is the Steve Angeli we are getting back then Steve starting job is 100% safe. If we land Dickens though and his game translates, we will be very happy. I just hope they do the due diligence to ensure Dickens game translates to the P4 level and they have a successful system for him to operate if he is the QB. It's a bonus that I think it will excite the South Florida crew on the team, but bring him on because you know he is a value add in a football game because we may need him.
Not me. I want a 6'6 QB who is inaccurate, slow, and can't read a Defense. The key is he's 6'6.

You mean like the 6'4" Eric Dungey, or the 6'5" Garrett Shrader? He seems short...Cuse QBs who have stayed healthy have always been taller. Cant trust our Oline.
Listen Dungey only had 12 board reported concussion and clearly Shrader was healthy all of senior year, dude was doing back flips on the field!!!You mean like the 6'4" Eric Dungey, or the 6'5" Garrett Shrader?
you aren't giving me a lot of confidence about our ability to protect QBsYou mean like the 6'4" Eric Dungey, or the 6'5" Garrett Shrader?

If he’s recovered, it’s a certainty.Call me crazy but if they land this kid, I don’t think it’s a certainty Steve is the starter is he?
Just like carneyKid throws a nice ball. Can roll either way and fire it.
The greatest that never was...He was a legendJust like carney![]()
he was basically a reincarnation of the player I thought I was in my dreams as a kid…The greatest that never was...He was a legend
71% completion rate? No INTs? No one has ever done it betterThe greatest that never was...He was a legend
If Toossii's down, I'm down. This kid has everyone excited would be an amazing get
Nor should you have any. I'm not going to push smoke through your sphincter.you aren't giving me a lot of confidence about our ability to protect QBs
If Toossii's down, I'm down.
I feel like I could have used any of the reaction emojis for this one.Guess we’ll just have to wait Toossii what happens.
We love a short King that completes over 70% of his passes. Not sure if this was posted but something to be said for it. During his senior year, Dickens set the record as Miami-Dade County’s all-time leading passer. Outside of his measurables, seems to be a star hope we sign him.
