Well, that isn't what you responded to me with. You were dismissive of Cole. Q wouldn't have done any more than Cole if he was at Nova. I think we are all going to find that out next winter.Has nothing to do with any of that. My response is directed to this dopey narrative that Q wouldn’t be the best of the 3 forwards. It’s absurd
Scorching hot take.Next years team will be better at every position other than PG.
I like Sid or Edwards better than GumbyScorching hot take.
Huh? I didn’t respond to you. I responded to Cusefan0307 saying we’re not losing an All American in QWell, that isn't what you responded to me with. You were dismissive of Cole. Q wouldn't have done any more than Cole if he was at Nova. I think we are all going to find that out next winter.
And Joe doesn’t need to be Kadary in order for us to be a really good team. Consistent play near the level he was at during the first weekend of the tourney would be more than enough given what’s around him.I like Sid or Edwards better than Gumby
5 star is better than Griff
Cole is better than Q
Buddy will be improved
Joe isnt as good as Kadary.
Huh? I didn’t respond to you. I responded to Cusefan0307 saying we’re not losing an All American in Q
I didn't see AZ refer to Guerrier being an AA.You said best of the 3 forwards and then you said All American. Which one is it?
I never said he wouldn’t be the best of the 3 forwards, but I don’t think it’s a guarantee he would be either.
I could be wrong and so could you. Wouldn’t be the first time for either of us.
Look, if you are going to nit pick...lolHuh? I didn’t respond to you. I responded to Cusefan0307 saying we’re not losing an All American in Q
preferred kadary as PG...but good chance Joe is better next year than he was this year.I like Sid or Edwards better than Gumby

Joe isn’t a PG. That is the thing.preferred kadary as PG...but good chance Joe is better next year than he was this year.
Never said Q was an AA. You guys are struggling to follow along for some reason. There’s a narrative here now that Q was solid not great...and were comfortable with his replacements. I’m saying we’re understating how good he was and trying to support that with guys that are nowhere near his equal in the roles they’ve been in.You said best of the 3 forwards and then you said All American. Which one is it?

Right. I just can’t seem to make these guys understand that logically losing Q for Cole and JBJ is not an even trade base on what they’ve done. If we could trade back tomm we’d do that 100 out of 100 timesI didn't see AZ refer to Guerrier being an AA.
Symir Torrence is not exactly chopped liver. I look for him to be a revelation, as well as a hopefully healthy Sid and much-improved Jesse giving us the low post scoring we need. Other than Rak, the 5 position is not usually counted on for scoring in JB’s system, but more so to protect the basket and rebound.Joe isn’t a PG. That is the thing.
He is a solid guard but he is playing PG because his freshman year we didn’t have any other good options.
This past year he wasn’t the best PG on the team.
He should be better because players should improve.
It doesn’t mean he is a PG though.
He doesn’t get by defenders that easily and his shot selection has to improve.
If he was a combo guard who split time between PG and SG he would be better.
Our season is going to rely on how Joe does as the PG. As we literally only have 3 guards on the roster now and Buddy can’t be a primary ball handler.
Yeah we just have literally no idea what we have. NoneSymir Torrence is not exactly chopped liver. I think we’ll be fine..
I trust JB to put it all together and make it work.Yeah we just have literally no idea what we have. None
Boy i sure hope so.preferred kadary as PG...but good chance Joe is better next year than he was this year.
He will make us a bubble team at worst.I trust JB to put it all together and make it work.
He’s done it many times before.
In the portal era good coaching is essential, and especially this year where teams have lost and gained so many new pieces. We have a HOF’er on the bench, and that cannot be underestimated.

We have a lot of players who would not get rotational minutes at Villanova. And replaced him with a guys that struggled to get rotational minutes at NOVA in 3 seasons and an IVY guy that didn’t play last year...
Exactly. It’s shaping up to be a one dimensional team, unless Benny proves to be a stud who can drive to the rim and/or score in the paint, Junior shows he can actually operate effectively in the post against P5 players, and Girard improves his conditioning and proves he can penetrate and actually finish through contact against the best ACC players. I’m not saying those things can’t happen. They very well could. It’s just a lot of ifs. I liked this team better when we still had Kadary and Quincy on it, but also added Cole to replace Braswell.QG is a better player than Swider and Jimmy Jr.
Swider is a better shooter.
Hopefully Swider has a good year.
We won’t have much post scoring next year so unless we get penetration it’s all going to be shooting from the perimeter.
I don’t see anything in our half court except whatever Benny can do and the Buddy backdown.
Until the roster shows me I won’t buy we will be a top 25 after January next year till the tournament.
Right. People who watched Kadary in high school at Brewster knew how good he was and that he was gonna be able to contribute at PG right away. We saw the tape and watched some of his games against future D1 competition. Symir on the other hand hasn’t done anything at Marquette in two seasons, and I wasn’t that impressed with his high school highlights. I hope he proves to be a really good backup and can effectively get to the rim and score, but right now there’s not much to go on.Yeah we just have literally no idea what we have. None
I like Swider I just don’t get how people can’t look at our roster and see the obvious holes we have.Exactly. You’re wrong on Griff vs Cole playing time. He played a similar amount of minutes at Illinois as a sophomore as Cole did at Nova as a junior. But Griff averaged more PPG and RPG and shot the 3 a little better. He didn't struggle to get rotational minutes at Nova. He started a number of games there one year. And he typically played about half the game. Cole certainly played more than Griff did at Illinois or G played at Duke. And pretty much what Hughes played at East Carolina. Q wouldn't have played any more at Nova . What would the alternative have been for you? To do nothing and hope Q came back? That isn't much of a plan. Cole will help this team a lot.
