Class of 2014 Recruits and Offers

DT is a vital need IMO. Bromley graduating. Raymon hurt and status uncertain. I'd like to see two DT's come in. 1 JUCO 1 HS
We're also losing Jones.

Wayne Williams, and Zeek Rodney

Right. But that leaves basically Crume, Williams (newcomer), Sloan, Raymon (injured), and maybe Marcus Coleman? That's a lot of unproven players right there.

i agree. i am sure they have a plan. maybe they are planning on moving Thompson to DT? I would definitely like to see them recruit another interior D lineman

I don't think we have to worry about Williams - I think he is going to be a star.

Some how I believe with all John Raymon has been through in his life, he will overcome this obstacle too, and be back on the field next year. Might be a few games in , but I believe he will be back.

I truly hope so!

FWIW, UConn recruit Chaz Wright ( Milford Academy) flips to Temple.

Ok so if the magic number right now is 18, and we consider that Washington, Manley, and J. Smith are all leaving early, that puts us at 21 currently - so barring any additional players leaving early, we have 6 remaining slots. I have to guess there will be at least 2-3 more players leaving early, so 9 is probably the number, and maybe it's even a full 25 that would put us at 10.

i think kinder is gone. What about Hale? i know he was hurt but i recall him saying he was a whole year ahead of his credits and will graduate early. He never took one step on the field

Which is sad because the kid is extremely athletic.

Now you have to subtract an available slot because of Dixon getting a scholarship for 2014. :)

Back to 20.

How many schools can say they have 4 kicking specialists on scholarship! Kicking powerhouse!

Kinder and Rene are gone

this should be a full class, maybe even 1 or 2 more

Per ESPN Slaton had offers from...

Miami
Cincy
Indiana
Illinois
MSU
FMinnesota
Miss St.
Mizzou
Nebraska
Ole Miss
Wisconsin

Huge get.

Mr. Dowels has entered the building!

i wish we were aware of all the other schools who tried getting involved with these commits. Most of them have mentioned that other schools tried getting involved. Franklin for example said L'ville, Penn St, and Clemson (tried twice) to get involved. You have to think if Clemson tried twice they would have offered if he cared. I know Moskal, Bennett and other have said other B10 schools tried to get into play as well. Even Naes said that Temple offered him recently. So even as impressive as the list looks now, it could be so much better.
