Class of 2014 Recruits and Offers

My list of in homes would be, Alin, Adly, Antwan, Trumaine, Cordell, Ish, Juwan. Does that cover it?;)

"Junior year from September 1
College coaches are allowed to send you information about their athletic program and about their school. this can include: media guides, schedule cards, personalized letters, photocopies of newspaper clippings and official university admissions and academic publications.
The college coach is now allowed to answer your emails and send emails to you as well.
Junior year from July 1
A college coach is only permitted to contact you in person off the college campus only on or after July 1st when you have completed your junior year of high school. If the coach meets with you or your parents and says anything to you or them then this is considered a contact. Anything more than a very basic hello is a contact.
College coaches are permitted to make one telephone call each week to you or your parents. You can call the coach as often as you wish."

I'm sure it was a "basic hello" between Saban and the prospect.

You can meet underclassmen two ways. One, have them come to campus on their own dime and meet with you (seemingly on the recruit's initiative, although you are often inviting them to an event like a junior day by mail, email, etc.). Two, arrange a "bump-in". This happens all the time at the summer bball camps. In fact, it started with bball and moved to fball. I wouldn't be surprised if SU was one of the pioneers here. So, to give you an example of how this might work, Saban happens to be in a HS visiting with the head coach on an "unrelated" matter. The head coach arranges for the underclassman recruit to visit the head coach's office at the same time about something else. It can then be said that it was purely "accidental" that Saban and the recruit wound up together in the same room.
 
I hear the SEC is working with some of the top tier high schools to install double sided glass like in police interrogations. This way, Saban can be talking to the head coach while having 15 juniors in the other room listening to the spiel. Then he can refer to them by name but not actually be talking to the players!

Double sided glass? No siree. The SEC is taking it's lead from the Olympics in Sochi and are going with a more"ahem" personal way of talking with the recruits.

crazy as in we're offering a load of kids out of the blue with 2 weeks left to go? You mean crazy like that?
