When I think about how many positions he was asked to play, and his willingness to do so without ever being able to "settle in," it's clear that he's a kid who put the team first. Enthusiastic, positive kid who was clearly both a leader and well liked.

I wish things worked out better for him on the field here. He was as unselfish a player as we’ve ever had. I doubt he wanted to play DL or OL, but we needed him to and he did it.

Being a team player like that will serve him well in life, wish him the best of luck.

I love Rhino and always will. I hope he becomes a coach here if NFL doesn’t work out. But we may be better off not relying on him if the odds are he’s gonna get hurt again.

I get it. My boy got to play 1 match in his senior year this year, due to a series of 4 relatively minor, but temporarily debilitating, injuries. That is coming off his surgery for his torn hip labrum 2 years ago which caused him to miss his sophomore year when he was slated to start for the eventual national runner up JUCO soccer team. The guy who got the job wound up at Creighton.
He is struggling with whether or not to try to play in grad school next year.
Elmore’s injuries are collectively far more grievous. I am surprised he lasted this long. Best of luck to him.
