He's Blossvale/Camden/Sylvan Beach's hometown hero of sorts, so I've tried to keep a pretty close eye on him with the Broncos. I got into it with some fans in the comments sections of articles that were critical of him replacing Colquitt. I came away with two realizations. 1) A lot of fans appeared to think Colquitt was a god and didn't seem to understand the business reasons behind not paying a punter as much as Colquitt would have needed. 2) The fact that many didn't quite grasp how much more valuable net yardage is than gross yards. That 68 yard bomb against the Chargers had to swing a lot of support his direction.
