Sounds about rightSomething to the effect of, "i don't think these defenses are necessarily that good, the offenses are just bad."
my thoughts exactly. throw in that he is the same guy that didn't play against Ohio. I also loved the screen pass to Tucker on their side of the 50 on 3rd and 15 Way to set up the punt. College sports is in the entertainment business. Were any of us entertained? This coaching has me for a loss. DeVito is doing fine. Penalties and stupid play calling stopped our drives. You pull him for GS and he does poorly.
really the biggest What is why is Devito not back on the field for the last drive. You have your big arm on the bench for the drive that NEEDS the big arm. They have our passing QB run and short pass. And our running weaker arm QB tossing bombs…
Yup. This is where we are, the guy with a cannon doesn’t see the open receivers that the guy with a questionable arm does.Tommy wouldn’t miss them but he wouldn’t see them either.
Orange is the new fast. did you like setting up for the punt on 3rd and 15 on their side of the 50. no guts, no glory.Shrader wasn’t good.
Go back to Devito.
Shrader had no idea how to manage that 2 minute drive.
Honestly who the hell is the QB coach these guys down.
Our offense so freaking predictable.
I wonder how much of a drop off there is with the new special teams coordinator. Not much in the way of credentials: "Blair Cavanaugh joined the Orange staff in February 2019. The son of Syracuse offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh, Blair is in his second season as the Orange’s quality control coach for special teams. Before coming to Syracuse, Cavanaugh was a graduate assistant at Ball State from 2017-18. He helped coach the Cardinals wide receivers ..."Andre you're a Lou Groza winner my man and we're in a Dome.
I recall 5-3 vs Holy Cross in ‘72 maybe?Back in the day. Maloney era. SU Navy I think. Ended up 6 to 3 at Archbold. DaveyJacobs in the driving rain for the winner as time ran out.
Seconded. Our exact predicamentYup. This is where we are, the guy with a cannon doesn’t see the open receivers that the guy with a questionable arm does.
Not much better but you are calling for a 300-400% improvement in the record. Not disagreeing but that is how bad we were last year...What a garbage half of football.
We aren’t much better from last year.
3-9 or 4-8.
I want to give this a like but . . .She just had her seventh period
IMO Chances are higher that Tommy wouldn’t have even thrown the ball to them. He’d have already gotten rid of it, been sacked, or ran to his right and threw it out of bounds.Get Devito back in there. 2 TD throws missed.
There was a low budget horror film in the early 90s called Frankenhooker. We need FrankenQBYup. This is where we are, the guy with a cannon doesn’t see the open receivers that the guy with a questionable arm does.
There is no Special Teams Coach. It's being done by committee.I wonder how much of a drop off there is with the new special teams coordinator. Not much in the way of credentials: "Blair Cavanaugh joined the Orange staff in February 2019. The son of Syracuse offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh, Blair is in his second season as the Orange’s quality control coach for special teams. Tommy doesn't go through reads to find an open man to throw to. He makes a presnap choice and if that person isn't open he panics.I would like to win some games this year. And Shrader misses open guys that I don't think Tommy will.
Yup that's our problem, one guy can't make the throw and the other can't see it. Classic SU.Yup. This is where we are, the guy with a cannon doesn’t see the open receivers that the guy with a questionable arm does.
Im not these are two sorry football teams.I'm still shaking my head that the score is 0-0.
