Class of 2019 S Cornelius Nunn Jr (FL) SIGNED NLI TO SYRACUSE 12/19/18

The young man is Cuse at the moment and that is all that matters. IF he moves on, I will wish the young man well and move on. If he sticks then sweet. Worrying about this guy leaving is a bit like worrying about HCDFB leaving right now. Why? Control the controllable. Keep winning or show well, keep communicating with the player, keep mom in the loop and have a positive attitude about Cuse and that we have enough going to keep him in the fold. Who cares if he is talking to Miami? BFD. Gotta act like you belong and deserve these guys. If we get better, other teams are going to try and poach our guys every year...let Miami come knocking...View attachment 140578
Thank you!!
Hell, we bow down to no one!
Good ole Gaby Johnson said it best:

You’re right. We have to stop making this like an episode of The World Turns. I like this kid a lot and hope he signs with Cuse. We are hanging with the big boys now and have to accept the consequences that come with that status.

What are the consequences with hanging with the big boys?

That the recruits we are after get a variety of offers from schools such as these:

You knew what he meant, right? It was implied that if we "hang with the big boys", we can lose some recruits to them.

Don’t pay too much mind to that “cool” rating. Miami is going to be in it till NSD. I don’t have inside info but the Miami coaches have made him a priority at safety.

That being said Syracuse is having a very good year. I personally like what Babers has done with the program. I don’t know about your S and DB coaches but the kids on the backend held their own vs Clemson.

I noticed some dismissive stuff about the program from a few Cuse fans after the Clemson game. Are they insane? Dino is going a great job, beating Clemson last year and almost doing it again this year.

The type of athletes on Clemson’s squad are several tiers above what Cuse has. I would recommend fans get behind this team, I see a lot of positives for you guys.

The six commits were 2020s and 2021s...silly season.

"While much will be made of the six prospects that pulled the tigger over the weekend, it's some of the other prospects that visited that have the folks in Coral Gables excited. The buzz coming out of the football facilities is that UM made a major move with Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove five-star wide receiver Jadon Haselwood, who was in town from Thursday to Sunday. Miami also seemed to tighten the battle with Florida for the Lakeland duo of Top247 tight end Keon Zipperer and Top247 defensive end Lloyd Summerall while also laying the ground work to potentially flip Miami Palmetto three-star safety Cornelius Nunn from Syracuse. The Hurricanes got some much needed face time with Fort Lauderdale Univeristy School Top247 running back Kenny McIntosh and Wellington Top247 athlete Mark-Antony Richards, as well."
Haselwood just decommitted from Georgia and is visiting Miami. From this article blurb it looks like he visited at the same time as Nunn in July.

He lives in Miami 20 miles from the stadium he should go to the game.

Yep it doesn't look like Miami is on our schedule for the next four years unless it is in the ACC Championship so he might as well watch them before he heads north to SU.

Miami has been pushing hard for Nunn for quite awhile now. I'm hopefully that he'll sign with Cuse in December.

Maybe at some positions like LB, but we have closed the gap a great deal since Babers took over. It's no longer several tiers better. Hell Syracuse was the better and more physical team for 7 out of the last 8 quarters. I'm not buying that.

Agreed our DL isn’t 4 first round picks but in the ACC it is a top 5 unit.
Our LBs are the biggest question marks on defense.
Frederick is a legit #1 CB, we have depth in the secondary and Cisco is a ball hawk who makes plays.

While our talent isn’t Clemson Dino has made it ACC/P5 caliber.
Our talent is good we could use a few LBs but outside of it I have confidence Dino knows how to build a top 25 squad.
He has the OL depth, we have 2 backups in DeVito and Ance I like.
We could use a RB and WR but our offense will be appealing to those talents.

We aren’t Clemson and we don’t have the local talent Miami has available but the talent gap is closing. If Dino stays our program should become an annual 6-8 win team with ability to do more depending on breaks.

And to add to this, watching our games the thing i kept thinking was- “If we had a breakaway back, we’d have scored 5-6 TD’s on runs alone”!
I love Moe & Strick, & Howard is a bulldozer- but damn, what havoc a back like that Ariz kid w/ academic issues coulda done w/ this O...

Maybe 2 tiers above, but definitely not "several"

I was thinking the exact same thing when I was watching UCF vs Pitt. UCF seems to run an offense very similar to ours. Their running back Killins is not big at all, but he is so fast, and shifty. UCF's offense hums. It looks like will hopefully look next year with a better backfield. That running game really opens up their passing attack.

Nunn did not play last game as he had a concussion. He’s had a great year so far playing both sides of the ball.

He had a great time when he visited Syracuse and likes that they were one of the first to offer...at the time Miami wasent giving him a lot of attention.

Comments about Syracuse:

"It was turnt up there," Nunn said of the visit "The crowd, the people and the fans. You know it feels natural there."

He has a great relationship with Miami Assistant Coach Banda and they text everyday. Nunn will be present at tomorrow’s game vs FSU.

Killians once upon a time took an official visit here but Frost got him to stay home. It was close.

If we somehow, someway, miraculously win the Atlantic I’d love to beat the everloving piss out of Miami in the ACC championship.

I had visions of winning our division when we were up 10 at Clemson. But I think that ship has sailed when we were unable to hang on.

I'd like our chances against Miami @ a neutral venue.

If nc state beats clemson, then comes to the dome anything is possible. Our upcoming bye couldnt be more perfectly situated. Keep dreaming, this isnt over yet.
