Sark Out as USC

Um ok...

Yeah i was going to say i know some people who have hid it unbelievably for years. It is only when it is exposed that you put the pieces together
Obviously there are some that are obvious

Really? How so?
Are you kidding me?

You don't understand that people can very easily hide a drinking problem? I would be willing to bet anything you know an alcoholic and don't realize it. You may know an alcoholic and be very aware, but I'm guessing you also know someone who suffers from alcoholism who you'd never guess has a problem.

It's such a ridiculous statement to say it's not something that can be hidden. Most alcoholics aren't exactly those winos you step over in the gutter, for god's sake.

Chip Kelly will be the head coach at USC in 2016. Take it to the bank.

He has had about enough of the NFL. Philly has had enough of him.

Well, Pat Haden will be out of a job over this, so they will need a new AD before they name a new HC. My pick would be Jack Del Rio.

Yeah Sark may have done a Shixxy job hiding it but that's definitely not typical.

Chip Kelly is the guy Haden has to go all-in for. Del Rio just got the Raiders job he isn't leaving after 1 year. Kelly is feeling the heat in Philly and would get back into a conference he owned at a premiere coaching job in the CFB.

Chip Kelly on his way to an extension for live on philly based on this

This is all on Haden. He was an asst there prior to the head job. You can't hide a drinking problem. Haden also screwed up when he hired Enfield for hoops. Haden needs to go ASAP before he ups again.

Sure you can.

the question i ask is--when did hayden know, and why is this happening now? i am not excusing the coaches complicity in this, i do question the employer responsibility here. lawyers will be all over this. keith jackson would be ashamed of hayden now. unless there are unknowns, the coach deserved a loa. the next fire will be hayden---i hope

Guys chip Kelly is 2-3 and won 20 games his first two years at Philly. I don't think he is going anywhere next year. The only hot seat is the one fans and media keep creating. I don't see him going to USC either regardless.

Kelly will either be successful at the nfl level or die trying. I could see him going to another NFL team at some point though

The only way he's coaching USC next year is if he pulls a Petrino/Falcons and just walks out after a game one day.

Agreed. He had one of the best jobs in college football before he left. Kelly is a football guy first he won't want to deal with all the bs that comes with the USC job

I've heard Kyle Whittinghams name thrown around, but I can't see why he'd want the job.

But honestly I don't think USC is some great job. Maybe I'm crazy though.

He doesn't need to pull a Petrino. Bobby Petrino quit while the Falcons still had 3 games left that is a joke. Kelly could talk to USC after the Eagles season is over if he wants the job.
He left Oregon partly because of NCAA sanctions coming his way. They have expired so he could go back if he wants.

I think it's top 5 in college football. Incredible tradition. No pro football in LA. Great weather. And great academics.

I think the weather and the city are part of the reason why the jobs overrated.

No pro football in LA will change very soon and the monopoly USC has had will change (UCLA hasn't made much of a dent).

Incredible alumni network - maybe the best in the P5 (perhaps second to Stanford). Top 25 academics. Incredible recruiting foot print right in their back yard. Multiple NC's. Multiple Heisman's. Every other year or so a QB from there gets drafted in the 1st round (or so it seems). Beautiful girls and weather. SC is on another level with the right coach - or even a mediocre coach.

Well, they've had two mediocre coaches already, and the results have been...mediocre.

Del Rio just got an NFL job last year he isn't leaving after 1 year

Doug Marrone's dream job*

He can bring along Hackett to OC and hire Greggers as DC.

Doug Marrone's dream job*
Actually some news broke yesterday that might have some effect on Doug. The Colts and Dolphins are 2 teams possibly interested in trading for Sean Payton at the end of the year. Report said other teams are interested as well but didn't name any others. Which means the Saints job will be open and Doug being an assistant there for many years that might help him get an interview at the very least for that open HC job. Or, if Payton goes to Indy or Miami or somewhere else he could bring Doug with him as an OC depending on how he feels about his current OC, which might not be very good considering how bad the Saints have sunk too even though yes Sean does call the plays. He might want to go back to Marrone and change things up
