Incredible defense on that last play.. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!
He may have but he only had to because Triche sat the last 10 min and Scoop sucked.
Seriously, the answer is that JB was looking for dribble penetration to set up shots. And BT can occasionally beat someone with his dribble, but not against tight defenses. This was one of the worst games I've seen Scoop play. Joseph and Fab won this game.
Why the hell was Brandon on the bench for the last 10-15 minutes? Scoop was GARBAGE most of the night. Yes, he found Joseph and had the big steal, but his horrible play in regulation is part of why we went to OT in the first place.
This game scared me not just because we nearly lost, but because if we had been playing a team like Kentucky, we would have lost by 20 tonight.

Bingo. I don't think you're going to find anyone willing to argue Scoop played well, but what's JB going to do?
The rest of the team seems incredibly reluctant to step foot inside the three point line. Scoop may make some bad passes on penetration, but half the time nobody cuts. You either have an open Fab or have to pray someone is open in his sightline at the three point line. We stand around A LOT.
BT barely ever penetrates - not really even capable tbh, and Dion seems far too content of late to stand at the three point line or take two dribbles and do the fadeaway jumper. It's a no win. In the chat there is always a lot of griping about the lack of penetration, but if you take away Scoop's it's done. None. Well, maybe a little bit, but it's few and far between. You gotta live with it.
Scoop's shot today looked a bit too much like the form he uses on his free throws - where he was pushing it. Hopefully that isn't a long term thing.
