If we want any chance to win the next 3 games, do your regular huddle and run clock so we can keep our defense fresh...to me makes no sense to run a hurry up no huddle offense when you go 3 or 6 plays and out so fast and put your strength of your team back onto the field for most of game...its called go back to basics. run the clock on offense, shorten the game.

No, no, no.

No.

Just no.

I swear that the no huddle is becoming the zone on the hoops side.

"We should of played man! We lost because of the zone!"

ie teams that play man never lose.

Teams that huddle up have bad offenses too.

You don't need a huddle to call plays , you can go as slow as you want, you limit what the defense can do by having the option of snapping quick. There is no downside.

Too many job grudens who don't watch college football

You think they are going fast on offense?

What game were you watching?

I wouldn't totally scrap the no huddle, but use a little common sense with it. In the first half I don't care if they want to use it or not honestly, if its working roll with it. But... if SU has a 2nd half lead like they did yesterday, don't use it then. Huddle up and slow the game down for many reasons. Keep the defense fresh and to slow the game down on offense, work clock and limit the possessions our opponent can have on offense.

SU had a 5 point lead and the ball on the plus side of the 50 mid-way through the 3rd quarter and we are snapping the ball with 20+ seconds on the play-clock...why? I'm not saying milk it down to under 5 then snap it but work the clock a little and kill some more time. Manage the game and your team. Coach the game to the situation and scoreboard and clock. Understand the your team and call the game so you can bring home a win. We are dealt a hand of an injured oline and an inexperienced QB, don't put them in a bad position when you are winning the game in the 2nd half.

A bigger issue to me is conservating play calling at the beginning of every game. You knew that SU would try to establish the run, but every 1st and 2nd down-Really?

I never said they were going fast, I just want them to run the clock more to preserve our defense that seems to be on the field 3/4 of the game...

As others in this thread have tried to point out, you can still run the clock down at the LOS - as we have done for the most part - it has nothing to do with whether they huddle or not.
