He shot 37% from the field including 39% on 2's. 51% TS%. He was horribly inefficient; just took a lot of shots.

There is no perfect zone team now that the three-point line has been moved back. That was the death of the 2-3 zone I think. It was never the same aftert that move.

Gerry said he was going to have the zone "in his back pocket" to use situationally. But, M2M with tough on ball defenders was the goal. He is going to need to add a rim protecting big in either case.

$$$ will be a problem now because with a flushed out roster, that means you have already spent a good chunk of your funds, which means you can easily be outbid. So there are positives and negatives of doing it this way.

How do you know what we've spent?

But that’s relative to what he got last year, and we know that Donnie was way underpaid compared to Nait G according to other recent posts. Like maybe Dry Rub level, so maybe just less than $1M? Sadiq could have made $300k last year, which means if he moved up to $800k (for example) that is a substantial raise.

Donnie should have made less compared to George. George would have LEAD the ACC in assists if Donnie had played even close to what he was paid for.

Being real = negative? I said nothing negative but stated facts. Signing players limits the amount we can spend on more players = facts You say that is being negative I say it is just saying what is true.

And I am really positive about the prospect, I think he has great potential

Point is no one knows the actual numbers of their competition and everything is fluid. Not to mention the portal is still open too. Thus I guess the math logic makes sense in a static situation where everyone knows where they stand but otherwise I doubt this is a big part of it. If it were how come Providence hasn’t landed more big fish given they have 3 guys total on that roster? They should have more money than those they are up against to close faster. What’s real is it’s too fluid and some things unknown in order to really know if you can outbid or not.

The last guy from Delaware on our roster went to two Final Fours. We're back!

It's more about the versatility guys like Tobiason, Dual, and Doty can provide on both ends of the court. 2 of those guards have 7 foot+ wingspans.

Maybe GMAC is planning on a team can wall up and guard ball screens. Folifac is hopefully next. Then a Center who can post up and another who can move & defend 1-5. Its a lot to ask. But SU needs two more Centers and a PG. Maybe Europe will continue to provide answers.
