You got it Day2We’re losing one player of substance. And that’s precisely who Griffin would replace.
Yeah! You're totally going to get all those people! So, for those that have a sense of these things...
Are we fully recruiting Alan Griffin?
Because if we do not receive a commitment and Dayton does, I want all of the people that will say "we passed" to say what their feeling is now.

If he plays forward the way Elijah played forward--absolutely.Im not doing anything. In year of our lord 2020 it would not shock me if he chose Dayton over Syracuse.
I mean does he want to play ?
I like Griffin, but the idea that he could replace Elijah's production when he could start at Illinois is crazy.
JB may beg to differ. Our starting guards aren’t good enough that we can’t upgrade at the position.
No one's per 40 minutes pencil out when they jump in minutes, but everyone's top line is different. His per 40 minutes numbers are excellent. This would be a huge get.
We lost our top recruit also in goodine
I get what you’re saying, but I think what’s being implied here is that we currently have no one returning on our roster who can even come close to doing what Hughes was doing. This kid would be a huge addition. Expecting him to match Hughes’s numbers would be crazy, but we could definitely use him!No one's per 40 minutes pencil out when they jump in minutes, but everyone's top line is different.
Ohhhh I’ve always wanted to drop a “he gone!” Will it apply here???? Please???
I’ll bet you said something similar when we brought in a transfer from East Carolina.I like Griffin, but the idea that he could replace Elijah's production when he could start at Illinois is crazy.
Agreed. But our biggest problem last year was defense something he may not address...I get what you’re saying, but I think what’s being implied here is that we currently have no one returning on our roster who can even come close to doing what Hughes was doing. Ok herbstreit. At some point we all need to get on with our lives. There will be a vaccine. If not and there's no football I'm going to Mars.I doubt we have college football or college basketball next season.
I don’t think college campuses are going to be used next season.
The coronavirus will come back next fall.
I don’t think football is happening right now with crowds.
The NFL better understand that.
So I don’t think Griffin will make a difference. I hope we get him and it’s a sit out next season transfer.
He didn't place Lydon...especially in year one!I like Hughes, but the idea that he could replace Lyndon when he couldn’t start for East Carolina is crazy.
That is also the logic we as fans and the coaching staff applied to Kaleb Joseph after Tyler Ennis left.He didn't place Lydon...especially in year one!
Plus Elijah had a red-shirt year, Griffin if he comes here is not walking in being all ACC year one. That is also the logic we as fans and the coaching staff applied to Kaleb Joseph after Tyler Ennis left.
I was spectacularly wrong on Elijah Hughes but the guy was one of the 5 best players in the ACC this past season.
Only C.J. Fair, Rak Christmas and Mike Gbinije have done that for us in the ACC.
I don’t think Griffin is that type of player in year 1.
