Just to be even nitpickier (i know not a word), tyler dorsey is going into his junior year and plays the 2/3 for themJust to be nitpicky, Brooks is a junior this year.
Hmmm, let's see...
1. Lydon say's he's leaving
2. JB jets off to ATL to visit Tucker personally
3. Lydon schedules a paid autograph session, virtually guaranteeing he won't return
4. Tucker moves the date of his visit forward a week
Yes, I would say this is trending in a positive direction.
I beat Tyson in Punch-Out back in the day! Lol. Totally agree with you. This is a fair point but that would put more the results on JB.
GMac isn't getting killed for losing Green from 99% of our fanbase.
We all know Calipari vs. GMac is Tyson vs. Little Mac.
That loss wasn't his fault. The problem was JB put all Our PG recruiting attention to Green without a backup plan and let his least experienced coach handle that recruitment. That wasn't smart.
JB has been criticized by our recruiting experts for not being as involved and that has hurt us. Now the second Hop left that Thursday he got on the plane to see Tucker and boom the next day we were a serious contender again for the kid.
I love GMac as a player but if JB isn't on the visit it doesn't have the same effect. JB needs to be more involved and put less on his inexperienced assistants.
Lol no it absolutely guarantees that.
I don't see why. He plays the 3 and Lydon plays the 4 or the 5. Tucker has always liked us.It sounds like Lydon's decision has a lot to do with his change of mind.
Very good point. Over the last two seasons:Just to be even nitpickier (i know not a word), tyler dorsey is going into his junior year and plays the 2/3 for them

Agreed we cooled off him after last summer and something that happened.I don't see why. He plays the 3 and Lydon plays the 4 or the 5. Tucker has always liked us.
Which is why every once in a blue moon a coach like GMac(this isn't a knock on Gmac either it's a respect to Calipari's recruiting knock out abilities) can beat Calipari for a 5 star recruit.I beat Tyson in Punch-Out back in the day! Lol. Totally agree with you.
lol He did beat him for one night. I wonder what happened that night? By the way, we will be fine at point guard next season.Which is why every once in a blue moon a coach like GMac can beat Calipari for a 5 star recruit.
We were probably talking to another SF. We can only recruit one player per position at a time.Agreed we cooled off him after last summer and something that happened.
Now we got back in after Indiana fired Crean and JB
flew down to recruit him.

AyalaWho is going to be our starting pg next year?
Very good point. Over the last two seasons:
Tyler Dorsey: 30 mpg, 14 ppg
Dillon Brooks: 29 mpg, 16.5 ppg
Regardless, if both return, Tucker would be an afterthought in Oregon's offense. He'd get Malachi type minutes and green light at SU. Could easily get 12 ppg here next year.

Well, technically not until he SHOWS UP, right?
He is like Billy Edelin with a jump shot

Preach. I'd gladly take Ayala right now, but people need to understand he is not Edelin, Flynn, MCW, or Waiters. He'd be a good 4 year player for us and depending on how he developed, could be a very good ACC guard as a junior or senior. Unless a miracle happens and we somehow get either Duval, Waters, or Ashton-Langford, people better start accepting Howard as starting PG next year. Not to single you out at all but posts like these do Ayala no favors. Sorta reminds me of people throwing around the Flynn comparisons with Kaleb Joseph because he was dunking in a YouTube mix tape.
Edelin was one of the best point guards in the country his year and should've been a McDonalds AA but they didn't want too many Oak Hill guys on the team. Ayala is currently the 102 player in his class on the 24/7 composite.
I've seen Ayala play up close in person and he would be a good program type guard for us. He does a lot of things well. I feel comfortable saying that Frank Howard will be our starting point guard next season if the only guard we add to the mix is Ayala.
Let's just let Ayala be Ayala and develop and grow into his role as a contributor on the team without putting expectations of a great player like Billy Edelin on him.
He's not going to Oregon...it's Cuse or GTHmmm Oregon was locked and loaded this weekend. Sudden change two days before you go? Ill look at JB a little differently if he can pull this rabbit out of his hat
