Class of 2017 SG/SF Jordan Tucker (NY / GA) Leaving Duke to Butler

I'm not sure I can properly illustrate how little anyone in Atlanta cares about Georgia Tech.

I'll illustrate it.

The fact they play in an arena that seats fewer than 10,000 in a city metro area of over 5 million, and they can't even fill that, about sums it up.

In fact, average GT attendance in 2016 was...

...wait for it...

5,831

Only one ACC team was worse. Can you guess which one?

Baseball is just losing support in general. Younger generations aren't into it and they have no star power.
Actually, baseball as never been in better shape. Just read this week in Forbes that the average MLB franchise rose 19 percent in the last year. That's $1.54B on average. And right now, baseball might have more terrific young players than any single moment in it history. But other than that, they've got nothing going on. Sport might dry up by the end of the decade.

Not true.

With the 2016 Major League Baseball regular season in the books, the league reported total paid attendance of 73,159,044 or an average of 30,059 per game across 2,425 dates.

The 2016 MLB regular season marked the 11th highest-attended in the history of the league. The last 13 years (from 2004-2016) comprise each of the 13 best-attended seasons in baseball history, by total.

MLB Hits 73.159 Million In Attendance, 11th Highest All-Time, Down Slightly From 2015

The Braves have been averaging about 2 and 1/2 million a year in recent years. Not bad, but not as good as their 3 and 1/2 million attendance years a while back.

Attendance is probably fine because it's a cheap event to go to and the sport has become regional.

Your last sentence is unnecessary. Never said that. I'm sure it's in fine shape but if you could buy stock in 2 out of 3 (MLB, NFL, NBA) is the MLB one you'd buy?

Baseball only has one problem. People compare it to football. It isn't as popular as football. But baseball itself, has never been in better shape. The thing about baseball is that it is not a national game. It is a local game. People love their baseball team. But don't really care to watch other peoples teams. Most people will watch any football game. Although that is starting to decline. I love baseball but I would not sit and watch the Phillies play the Padres. I would sit and watch the eagles play the chargers.

Baseball is a cheap event? Where? Baseball teams have NEVER done better. The $$ is flowing in to the teams and the players.

I guess I should clarify.. I'm comparing MLB to the NFL, NBA, CFB and CBB.

I've bought tickets to a ton of basketball and football events and they were all more expensive than the tickets I bought to last nights Braves game. Home opener at that.

MLB is the clear #2 sport in America. Its not even close.

What is the new stadium like?

NFL attendance and TV ratings are down..and have been declining for a couple/few years.

Pro football has seen its best days imo.

My Duke buddy said Duke called Tucker last night
Uh what? Does this mean Allen is leaving? I assume Duke would start Jackson/Allen/Trent together even though Trent is more of a SG. If they're trying to talk to Tucker that must mean Allen is gonna declare?

He said its related to Knox

I'm just about done with Duke. By all means Tucker, go there.. K's bench is the only one in America shorter than Boeheim's.

Have fun with that.

Hopefully he'll realize who's been after him from the jump. (Please disregard those months we ghosted on you)

how would Tucker be related to Knox, recruitment wise?
Duke was probably gonna start Wendell Carter and Bolden together anyways. Knox would probably be the first dude off the bench. They don't get Knox - Tucker fills that role of 6th man
